HTC's Touch Diamond coming in white

If you're jazzed about the Touch Diamond, but have a thing for albino devices, a Danish site may have unearthed just what you're looking for. According to HTC-User, the company will be introducing a white version of their popular touchscreen device come October. We can't say for sure if this intel is pure gold or a pile of festering garbage, but if the pics we see (just renders right now) and the retail order page the site is linking to are any indication, this magic will be a reality sooner or later. That's a good thing, too -- you don't want Apple cornering the market on white and black touchscreen phones, right? Check out one more huge picture after the break.

Update:
Engadget Spanish has confirmed that these are -- in fact -- the real deal, and will be headed to store shelves come October.

Samsung's i900 Omnia spotted with white battery cover

We can't really vituperate the i900 Omnia's standard looks, but we must say, this thing looks striking in white. Yeah, it's only the back panel (read: battery cover) getting the makeover, but word on the street has it that this thing will actually be offered in white (with the obligatory wavy pattern) in at least some regions of the world. So, what say you? Is this the model that now has your eye? Or does the original still do it for you?

Black iPhone 3G vs. white iPhone 3G... fight!

For many people we encountered in line on launch day, the decision had already been steadfastly made: they'd be picking up a black iPhone 3G, and no one would sway them from their path (except maybe -- maybe -- if the black was sold out by the time their number got called). We've got to say, though -- after spending a great deal of quality time with both colors, the white definitely holds a special place in our hearts. It doesn't show smudges as easily, it makes just a little bit bolder of a fashion statement, and it tells passers-by, "yo, I sprung for the 16GB model" since the 8GB is only available in black. Don't get us wrong, the black's just fine, but we figured we'd throw out some food for thought on the subject.

Garmin's Nuvifone is coming in white?

The folks at NaviGadget got a couple reader-submitted shots of a white Nuvifone, but there's no telling just now how legit they are. Garmin just shows a black version of its phone -- which is still slated for Q3 at a purported $500 pricepoint -- on its own site, but perhaps this teensy supposed leak means there's more news in store for the Nuvifone camp in the near future.

It's the black Samsung F700, except whiter

And it's coming to Vodafone Spain. We're not sure why only Vodafone would think that a white version of the F700 is such a great idea ('cause it is), so we're kinda hoping Verizon takes note.

T-Mobile's white Pearl in the flesh

In case you couldn't really wrap your brain around what a white version of the BlackBerry Pearl might look like, we've finally laid our paws on some eye candy that should clear things right up for ya. According to our sources, it's not a flat color, but a pearly white that "shines" -- a little more glitzy than the solid black we're used to seeing on this sucker. Look for the phone to launch this coming Monday for the same price as its darker sibling (we hope), but in the meantime, click through for s'more visuals.

RIM cooking up a white Pearl for T-Mobile?

Wait a tick -- in nature, aren't black pearls more precious than white pearls? And following that logic, shouldn't RIM have released the white Pearl first and manufactured like ten of them for every black one? Seriously, RIM, get with the program; talk to Verizon and LG for an idea of how this punny product name thing works. Anyhoo, an intrepid reader found this microscopic picture (blown up for readability and hardcore blurriness) of a pale Pearl on T-Mobile's support site, which seems like pretty strong evidence of an impending release. We'd say it was the keypad that needed fixing first, not the color, but is there really any doubt RIM's gonna sell a baker's dozen of these anyway?

G'zOne, White Chocolate see launches on Verizon

Ultra rugged or delicate, glossy white -- that is the question. Verizon has gone ahead and launched a couple of its more hotly anticipated handsets this week, the over-engineered G'zOne Type-V clamshell from Casio and the white variant of the LG VX8500 Chocolate slider. While neither phone is going to go easy on the wallet, the G'zOne is the budget buster of the two with a hefty $300 price tag (and not a rebate in sight, mind you). Then again, with water resistance top center on the list of the Casio's features, the phone might just pay for itself the first time it makes it through the wash.

Real pics emerge of the VX8500's spectrum

Ever wonder what a metallic, phlegm-green LG Chocolate might look like? Well, wonder no longer. We've managed to score press photos for Verizon's VX8500 in all three of its new colors, and although it's difficult to argue the hotness of the white and red varieties, the green just is not doing anything for us. Ah, well; vive la variété, eh? Look for the new shades to drop any day now.

Nokia relaunches the 6280 3G slider as the 6288

Nokia has announced a rebrand of the 6280 3G slider phone, and it's not so that the company can give it a pretty new name. The "new" 6288's design is similar to its never-hit-US-shores 6282 predecessor, and appears to be practically identical in specification -- QVGA display, 2 megapixel camera, 115g weight -- to the 6282 and its European cousin, the 6280. The design has had a slight tweak (you'll notice the white and black designs, and the lack of chrome on the keypad) and a 512MB SD card is bundled with the phone to sweeten the rebranding pill, and presumably the €325 pre-subsidies pricetag as well.

Motorola intros white PEBL through contest

For some odd reason, Motorola always seems to pull off new colors of existing handsets with an amount of fanfare other manufacturers can only dream of. We don't suppose it has something to do with the Maria Sharapova tie-ins, could it? Much like the Sharapova-endorsed magenta RAZR before it, the white PEBL offers nothing its more colorful siblings don't -- except exclusivity to the tune of 50 examples in total, all of which will be won via contest. Of course, no one would be surprised to see Moto turn right around and start pumping out white PEBLs en masse just as soon as the contest ends, but they wouldn't be printed with Maria's signature, rendering them all but useless to us.

Sony Ericsson bleaches the W810i

If Sony Ericsson was going to bother re-releasing the W810i, you'd think they would add a touch screen to keep up with the counterfeiters. Instead, they've simply taken the PSP approach and resheathed the music phone in iPod white. The spec sheet is identical to the original black model, so if you were hoping for UMTS or A2DP to sneak its way in, keep on dreaming.
