HTC Touch Diamond unboxed, packaging worthy of the phone

Nothing new to report on the Touch Diamond's tech here, but wow, look how fun the box is! Of course, we know you're all waiting to see what they stuffed in the wedge-shaped package, and the answer is a charger, headset, USB cable, a manual or two, and the software. The charger appears to be a universal job with a swappable plug for travel, and the headset a typical example of an HTC pack-in -- albeit with a dash of fun and angular design. Hit the link for the pics.

LG Venus unboxing

We've been keeping our parcel carrier busy the past few days and today will be no different -- the LG Venus for Verizon just arrived at our door! LG has incorporated touchscreen navigation along with a solid music player into the latest incarnation (in spirit, if not in name) of the successful Chocolate series. From first glance, the device's slide mechanism is flawless and weighted perfectly, though there seems to be some sluggishness using the on-screen controls. But enough of the chit chat already, go check out the gallery and be on the lookout for the review!

Samsung i760 unboxed

Several months and a few in the wild pics later, Verizon Wireless has gotten around to launching its latest Windows Mobile Professional device, the Samsung i760. Weighing in just under 5.3 ounces and measuring in at 2.28 x 4.49 x 0.77 inches, it's one of the more compact PDAs available for the carrier. The i760 is packed with features like a 2.8 inch touchscreen LCD, 128MB of RAM and 64 MB of ROM, an EV-DO radio (sorry, no Rev. A here), Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi connectivity, microSD expandable memory, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a 1.3 megapixel camera. Enough with all this chit chat, though -- how's about some pics?

Samsung Juke unboxed

Ah, there's nothing better than a good, old fashioned unboxing, right? Thanks to our favorite parcel carrier, we're able to get our grubby paws on Samsung's latest stab at the music player / cellphone combo -- the Juke -- for Verizon Wireless. It's a compact flip that's a throwback to Motorola's V70 and Kyocera's Koi that features a CDMA 800 / 1900 MHz radio (sorry, EV-DO and OTA music downloads aren't supported), Bluetooth with A2DP, a VGA camera, and 2GB of memory dedicated just to music. It doesn't sound too shabby for a penny under $100 after contracts, now does it? Anyone willing to stop by their local retail store, sound-off in comments about your experience.

iPhone bill unboxed by iJustine

For those new iPhone owners who have been wearing that touchscreen keyboard out by sending as many texts as your thumbs can muster, you've probably been greeted by an unexpectedly large box from your neighborhood carrier. For Justine, that meant receiving "over 300 pages" of detailed billing from AT&T that spelled out every single SMS (and call, we presume) sent and received. If we actually needed another reason to choose eBilling over the obvious alternative, this would definitely be it. Check out the video after the break.

[Thanks, Alex]

O2's snazzy Cocoon gets unboxed

It's not often that the press shots of a given handset actually don't do the thing justice, but the real live pictures of the O2 Cocoon actually impress quite a bit more than we could have imagined. This futuristic (and dirt-attracting) clamshell sports an all white exterior, crisp internal display, contrasting keypad, and a unique LED display that's sure to spark up conversation. You know the deal, take a closer look after the break.

Unboxing the Toshiba Portege G900

What would you give for a WM6 QWERTY with a 3-inch screen touting an 800 x 480 pixel resolution? Well, reader Kim Nyberg forked over a €635/$860 premium to Expansys for the Toshiba Portege G900 and has the unboxing pics to prove it. And you thought $599 was expensive. Oh, did we mention it's tri-band HSDPA with WiFi?

HTC Kaiser gets unboxed

Best Pocket PC Professional phone ever? The Boy Genius seems to think that's a description befitting the Kaiser, having taken inventory of his very own -- and given the spec sheet, we tend to agree. Windows Mobile 6, a 3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, and 128MB of onboard RAM (yes, RAM, not ROM) are a solid start, and when you add in GPS and triband HSDPA, we're left a little speechless as to what HTC could possibly add to make everyone happy. A VGA display, perhaps, though the pure trickness of the flip-up hinge at least partially makes up for that minor indiscretion. It seems the only bad news about the Kaiser is the release; rumor has it we won't see a commercial shipment until October, which is like forever and a day from now according to our calendars.

Nokia E61i dissected

We knew it would only be a matter of time before a Symbian fanatic would be brave enough to dissect one of Nokia's newest additions to the line-up, the E61i. Each picture shows the dismembering of the QWERTY device piece by piece. If you have a weak stomach or can't stand the sight of unprotected hardware, tread lightly. If not, be brave and check out the additional pics or even try it yourself and let us know how it goes.

The Nokia E61i gets unboxed

If you were / are a Nokia E61 fan but wished those Finns would have refined it just a bit, you're probably salivating over the E61i. Updates to the newer model include a 2 megapixel cam, a d-pad (no joystick) and a better QWERTY keyboard for your typing pleasure. If you're wanting to see a svelte E61i get undressed, it's been done to a decent degree for your viewing pleasure. That is, until you plunk down some cash for the real deal, right?

Nokia's N95 unboxed

Having just started shipping today, you'll be hard pressed to find Nokia's N95 gracing the shelves of your local high street shop. That little fact didn't stop the kids over at All About Symbian from getting their mits on a new production unit however. They weren't planning on a formal unboxing until they found the latest N-Series sporting some of that new (for Nokia) "arty, minimalist packaging" adored by unboxers the world over. The inclusion of a 2GB microSD card (with adapter) was a notable bonus, too.

Cingular's BlackBerry 8800 unboxed

He got us those original BlackBerry 8800 shots, so we're guessing these unboxing pics of the phone here were no sweat for Boy Genius. We still can't claim to be crazy about the device, which launched last week, but we're sure plenty of suits will be glad to replace their aging CrackBerries with this fancy new QWERTY version. As a side note -- could Cingular's boxes be any more boring?

Unboxing the Chocolate

Ah, what could be better than a good, old fashioned unboxing? Not a lot, and in today's episode we'd like to introduce you to the packaging and subsequent de-packaging of an LG KG800 Chocolate phone, courtesy of MobileBurn's Brad Kellett. It's only a few short, beautiful pictures, but because the likelihood of your having one in the States is so low, we'd like to show you how LG turned it out. (Hint: they did well.) Enjoy.
