Compact-esque LG Reveal and Shimmer Kit primping for Bell launch

The shock! The horror! We're beginning to see signs of an absolutely impossible trend, one that just cannot be coming to fruition. Merely hours after spotting the compact-like Samsung CLEO comes an obvious rival: the LG Reveal. The chic flip phone is said to boast a full QWERTY keypad (for realz?), a black or purple motif, a 2.0-megapixel camera, built-in Bluetooth and a 2.4-inch display. Also of note, the handset will be offered with an exclusive Swarovski Crystal Bluetooth headset as part of the LG Shimmer Kit, and each one of these packages will lead to a $5 donation to Fashion Cares. Mum's the word on pricing / exact availability, but we'd bet dollars to donuts that yet another makeup compact-turned-flip phone appears before too long. Even if it's just in our nightmares.

Christian Dior unveiling phone this Friday?

We've got virtually no background on the rather in-your-face designer handset we see depicted here, but we're told that it's a Christian Dior-branded phone (and remote control of some sort, apparently) embedded with Swarovski crystals. An official announcement is expected this coming Friday, May 16, followed by availability in Dior's boutiques inside of two weeks. Might be a little flashy for the average human's tastes, but we're sure they'll find an audience if this thing is real.

Goldstriker lavishes KRZR with Swarovski crystals, platinum

Just on the off chance your KRZR is starting to look a bit too yesterday, Goldstriker can help rejuvenate it with a dash of crystal and a splash of platinum. Pricing is apparently set at $1,200 for this 336-gem-coated handset -- at roughly $3 a crystal, it'd be a deal at twice the price. Release date is tba but we're sure if you're willing to throw that kind of bread at a glitzy handset, Goldstriker might just put its foot down to get it to you tout de suite.

Touchmate's Craz M800 with fake diamonds

The Touchmate Craz M800 Gold is touted as the "world's smallest mobile with built-in-diamond & MP4," and let's be honest, you can't beat that with even the heaviest stick. While we get the MP4 bit, we couldn't for the life of us find where the diamond actually was. Sadly, with a bit more research, grim realization struck, cold, hard, and fast: it's a "Swarovski Crystal Diamond," not a real diamond at all. After we got over the shock, called friends and had it stricken from our wish lists, we were able to get to the deets. The Craz M800 packs 128 MB of built-in memory, audio and video recording via USB (we have no clue), and a 1.3 megapixel camera, all wrapped in a spiffy leather tote case. No word on what band it is, or even what technology it is using, but let's face it -- in this case, that's just as well.

Swarovski bejewels Samsung's 707SC for Softbank

Softbank Mobile customers finding that their Samsung-sourced 707SCs aren't getting the sheer volume of mesmerized stares they were hoping for, we come bearing good news: you can now re-up the chances for hypnotizing passers-by into a dazzled trance with crystal encrusted versions of your phone, courtesy of the good folks at Swarovski. Personally, with its HSDPA, QVGA display, video calling, and 2 megapixel cam, we thought the 11.2mm phone was hot enough as-is -- but adding sparkle never hurts. We guess.
