3's Facebook-loving INQ1 launches in the UK

You probably remember 3 network subsidiary INQ's announcement of the INQ1, their first stab at a phone? Well, it's launched in London and is officially "coming soon." As previously mentioned, the phone is nothing fancy or revolutionary, but its integration with Skype (just like 3's Skypephone), Facebook, and a handful of other consumer-friendly apps is something worth taking note of. When available, the slider will come in black and silver and though we don't know the exact price, last we heard it would cost under £99 with no contract. No details on the handset making its way to the US as of yet -- it's complicated -- but we'll keep you updated. Don't forget to check out a few shots of the (very attractive) packaging after the break.

Sprint's June launch calendar confirms QChat availability

So that rumored June 15 launch date for QChat in retail channels was pretty much spot on, it seems, according to the latest Brightpoint launch sheet for the month. The shot, posted on the always-chatty HoFo, reveals that Sanyo's PRO-200 and PRO-700 are expected for $249.99 and $279.99, respectively, while the Samsung Z400 comes in at $299.99 and the LG LX400 at $279.99. That's not a very wide range of price points for the initial round of QChat devices, a sign that Sprint's probably totally cool limiting interest in the service to business customers initially. Also due on the 15th is a fresh USB modem, the U680, which is being touted as "the only USB Modem that fits the design of the MacBook AIR [sic] without using USB connection cable." It's the Franklin CDU-680 in its generic form, and it's indeed pretty small as external data sticks go -- music to the ears of Air owners, we'd imagine.

Verizon XV6800 / HTC Titan coming November 16th?

While AT&T customers have had the same technology for awhile in the 8525 -- and heck, even Sprint users can pick up a Mogul now -- those folks unfortunately locked into a Verizon contract are about two generations behind when it comes to HTC Windows Mobile devices. Well according to a purported insider going by the name "verizonguy" on the PPCgeeks forum, the long wait for VZW's XV6800 version of the Titan may soon be over, with the company reportedly planning a November 16th hard launch. What's more, an online-only soft launch could occur as soon as November 2nd, according to the writeup -- good news indeed, as long as you haven't already left Verizon in frustration for greener pastures.

SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS Beta is live

Hey you, rabid Palm OS fan, 700p owner, and Sling advocate -- remember that SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS Beta you signed up for last month? Well, it's time to lose a little more sleep over it, but this time you'll be enjoying the niceties of streaming media on your handset instead of sweating the release date. According to SlingCommunity, the beta will be going live today, and will officially support the 3G-enabled Treo 700p, but "early reports" are suggesting that 680 owners may be able to enjoy limited success even without Sling's stamp of approval. Of course, the beta will remain free of charge until a public release is ready to rock, and then you'll have the option of cutting ties or ponying up the $29.99 purchase price to keep on slinging. Additionally, the kind folks over at UneasySilence have done the hard work for you already, so be sure to hit them up for a nicely appointed pictorial walkthrough while your waiting to get your own install on.

BlackBerry 7130c launching June 13th?

An invitation for a six-day, six-city series kicking off June 13th in Houston on getting the most out of your BlackBerry also seems to reveal the launch of RIM's 7130 candybar-style smartphone for CIngular's network. Called "Own Your Day," the event is described as beginning with "an introduction to the latest BlackBerry device" complete with "exclusive hands-on demonstration." which almost certainly refers to the 7130c that we've spotted several times before. Still, until we get official word from Cingular, you've gotta file this under "speculation" for the time being.
