Apr 9th 2008 2:10PM I have the 2005.5 version of this car so when it first came out. Overall, not a bad car, yes the MPG is not good....i get about 19 of mixed driving. The good thing is that it takes regular gas....bad thing is synthetic oil that HAS to be used. Mine is a lease and VW dealers demand me to use it or else i will void my warranty. Don't know if that is BS or not. I really enjoy the leatherette seats and the spacious trunk. I have fit a double stroller in the trunk so it does have a lot of space. I went to the dealership to see about getting an 08, they are claiming better MPG than the one I have and maintenance is only one oil change a year as opposed to my every 7000 miles. Although both of those sound good, I can't imagine leasing another Jetta for 3 more years....i like the car but I don't like it that much.
