T-Mobile G1 coming to Walmart for $148.88 {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 28th 2008 1:33PM I saw G1 dummy phones in the mobile phone section at Best Buy in Southcenter (Tukwila, Wash.) on Sunday. No pricing info. So, um, I guess Wally World ain't the only ones ...

HTC's top US executive resigns {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 21st 2007 12:38PM No wonder he didn't return my e-mail last month about the buzz the Kaiser/Tilt/8925 has been getting on Howard Forums and elsewhere.

It was nice of him to give me a Mogul back in June, though, too bad I think Sprint is evil.

(I'm serious by the way and have proof for the skeptics.)

Survey sez just 11-percent of Americans rely solely on cellphones {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 13th 2007 1:48PM I'm 28 and my husband is 30. We haven't had a landline for about 18 months. We got one when we first moved into our house 3 years ago because our options for Internet were dial up, dial up or ... dial up!
Comcast later got the neighborhood set up with broadband, so, I signed us up.
And that began the slow death of our landline, which was only used by doctors and people wanting us to answer surveys.
Qwest couldn't get our billing right when I cancelled the dial-up. Took six months of calling in to get it off our account. We still ended up paying a ton for services we hardly used. They turned off the landline and we paid the bill then wiped our hands of it. Even the $12 or so for the basic landline seemed so ridiculous.
Besides, my husband and I have plenty of minutes on at&t, since we have about 4,000 Rollover minutes at our disposal.
I understand the idea of having a landline with the point of it being an insurance plan of sorts for worst case scenarios.

iPhone rumor du jour: June 20th release date {Engadget Mobile}

May 26th 2007 1:22PM I was grilling my favorite corp store rep on the impending release of the Curve and he didn't know when that was, only a guess, when he said he was surprised I wasn't grilling him about the iPhone. Eventually I asked him if they had even given the store reps an ETA and he said all they'd told them in his store is June.
So, yeah, I guess they'll know when at&t wants them to know, which will probably be around the time they want us to know. Whenever that is.
I want a Curve. I want an iPhone. I want it all, really, like any good phone geek.
