Rogers to sell HTC Dream, Magic for $199.99 on contract {Engadget Mobile}
May 24th 2009 1:53AM Is nobody else getting this? Two Android phones coming to Rogers means two importable/unlockable Android options for AT&T customers that work on the +$15/month (+$10/month if you're on a family plan) data option. Remember, AT&T's HSDPA is on the 850 and 1900 bands, same as Rogers.
It's going to be cheaper for AT&T customers to be Android users than it is for T-Mobile USA customers.
I'm planning to snag one of these off of eBay as soon as the price looks good. My buddies and I are setting up a five-line AT&T family plan with an employer discount and finally dropping our five SERO lines. :)

Seriously, put some effort into your posts.
Telus' HTC Touch Diamond gets video review {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 18th 2008 6:50AM This guy doesn't sound like he has a very comprehensive grasp of the marketplace, or the relevance of this device in HTC's product line. It's a definite downer that nicer-looking HTC devices have given way to a less-discriminatory class of user ("hurrr it looks like iphone and instinct hurrr the screen is sharp hurr").

HTC Touch Pro turning into the "Fuze" for AT&T? {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 16th 2008 6:42AM Whole thing is confusing -- I was hoping that with this latest generation of phone, you'd be buying a device named "Touch Diamond" or "Touch Pro" no matter whether it was the CDMA or GSM version, no matter whether it was direct from HTC or branded by a carrier. Obviously those who care to differentiate will still refer to the devices by their Kaiser/Hermes/Titan/Vogue/Wizard/etc. internal names, but it seems like HTC is going to hold themselves back from selling a really "iconic" device if they (or the carriers) keep giving the things twenty different fuckin' names.
RAZR has a consistent name across all CDMA and GSM carriers, iPhone is obviously consistent across all the GSM carriers shilling it. Why does this thing need to be a Touch Pro if I buy it unlocked, an MDA Vario Twenty-Seven if I buy it from T-Mobile UK, and an "ay-tee-and-tee Fuze" if I buy it from AT&T?
Consolidate this shit.

Aug 14th 2008 6:46AM Does Engadget have a pretty strict no-banning policy or something? These dogshit Erik comments are on almost every article I click through to, and they're a headache that nearly sucks the enjoyment out of reading Engadget.
Jesus christ kid, stop posting.
