Oct 29th 2009 12:54PM I like the idea of the Blacksmith punishment being that he runs a few sets of alts through DM/Stocks/SM or whatever. Say he has to ding 8 characters twice, or something. Not terribly difficult, but some sort of "public service" for the guild.
It sounds like the guy was dumb, not malicious, by what you say. If he was malicious, he wouldn't have taken the plans down from the AH.

Oct 27th 2009 1:49PM I think Wave's biggest problem right now, is the lack of users. It really needs to move more into the main-stream before it becomes more useful.
I sent nominations to two co-workers, that I would like to get in. One person lives half-a-state away, while two of us are in the same location. I think it could prove valuable for tracking our projects, and bringing in "principals" that have a stake in projects to get their on-going feedback. The ability to have people join in, and catch up is great.
Probably the best way to think of Wave, is an email replacement with IM built in. It really is designed for collaboration. If you are not in a collaboration environment, in its current incarnation, it does not have a lot of use.
Giving up on conquering WoW {WoW}
Oct 26th 2009 5:19PM When WoW was released, it was the spunky newbie, taking on the 900 lb Gorilla, known as Everquest. Hell, I bought collector's editions of BOTH games (WoW and EQ2) within what, 2 weeks of each other?
While I think there was a chunk of luck involved, I think there was a lot of skill involved, as well. They hit the right mix of comedy, seriousness, newbie-friendliness... not to mentioning being Blizzard releasing a Warcraft game... that had gone through different incarnations through the years before... (remember Warcraft Adventures?)
I think other games can compete... but Wow will have to get a little more tired than what it is, right now.

@elvendude Honestly, that doesn't bother me. I want a druid, and right now, I have all 10 slots taken up on this server. I want the new race, because they look cool. I don't care if it takes a few months to let others hit 80 first. The difference to me, with race, is cosmetic... I don't think many stats matter WAY too much.

Oct 14th 2009 4:01PM I have a G1, and must admit, it is slow. It is painfully slow. I am also really surprised that the new Motorola phone went with the same gimpy amount of memory. As far as I can tell, the only real upgrade, is a larger battery.
Give me a phone that runs a bit faster, and on more memory. I would like to see 1 gig. I am also annoyed at the lack of slide-out keyboards. That is my form factor of choice.
