LG eyes number two phone maker spot for 2012, premium brand in the works {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 4th 2009 10:07AM They picked wrong time to try that. Nokia is number one like the past 9 years with the 38% market share and Samsung is doing better than ever. Thought we will see.
Nokia N86 8MP and N97 launching in UK today {Engadget}
Jun 19th 2009 12:15PM N97 will be niche device for sure, but to speak the truth.
N95 have sold over 16 million, E71 13 million, 6300 +20 million or how about 1100 with +220 million and i haven't ever seen any line for any those phones. Nokia and all the top 5 manufacturers sell their phones unlocked from who knows how many different distributors in one country and from many different carriers in one country. While Apple sells from one carrier for every country and from it's own flagship stores. Add the fact that noone buys Nokia phones from the rare flagship stores in couple of countires because they are hugely overpirced there.
Hong Kong seems to be selling N97 like no day judging from the lines there thought http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAUFGfxG6VI
BREAKING: Formula 1 Teams Association announces breakaway series for 2010 {Autoblog}
Jun 18th 2009 8:28PM Oh i really wasen't expecting this. I thought they would just complain and that's it.
Still great news! In your face Max Mosley! USA GP seems more than plausible now.
Koenigsegg: We'll give Saab back its "soul" {Autoblog}
Jun 18th 2009 6:12PM Just to continue what most of here are saying that i'm exited to see what comes out of this. GM didn't do too bad job with Saab thought. My old 04 9-3 was great and i had nothing to complain exept the handbrake those 2 times it jammed in 3 years i had the car. I loved how the car looked, but maybe that has something to do with the fact that i'm Scandinavian...
With GM you are destined to have shared platforms and what not, brands lose part of it's identity. Koenigsegg could make something great out of this and mix right amount of some craziness to all so sensible swede.
REPORT: PSA to decide on GTbyCitroen production within four weeks {Autoblog}
Jun 1st 2009 9:31AM I don't get what's the fuss about the brand.
It's wierd looking(and cool imo) so it fits with Citroen the old. Just think of seeing that car in a street in the middle of normal car mass.
Make it happen Citroen!
Microsoft's Zune HD shipping on September 5th? {Engadget}
May 31st 2009 5:45PM I'm ipod touch owner(first gen) and definitely looking for Zune HD. Have you seen the videos of the UI? I mean it did take time, but finally some pmp manufacturer created UI that's as nice and as fluid to use as ipod touch. Don't really have anything to complain with my ipod touch(other than i belong to the crowd who hates Itunes) it's just time to get new device. Microsoft is defienetly making some real progress like Windows 7 and Zune HD that really is just as good or better choice as ipod touch to many.
Thought if it won't ship to EU area before November it's definietly no for this device.
Investigators demonstrate Nokia 1100's criminal potential {Engadget}
May 22nd 2009 3:55AM There's over 200 million 1100 out there(most sold consumer electronics device in the world) so there should be 1100s to choose.
Nokia launching 'high-end handset' with capacitive touchscreen in Q3? {Engadget}
May 15th 2009 8:25AM This is just good example of how much usa consumers know about nokia. Thought that's nokias fault. All of e series got metal casing. Test E55, E71, E51, E71 just for example. Whole 8xxx series is of course metal, but you would expect that. Many of the 6xxx series got metal casing like 6700 and 6300. N series is weaker, but at least N86 is going right direction with it's glass front. Then you could say Nokias are fat, but they are the ones who have been pushing the slimmest smartphone for past 3 years. E51, E71 and E55. I do like S60, but 5th edition could be much better so it would be superb if this capasitive ts "flagship" would be nokias first symbian foundation device. Hoping capacitive ts for N900 tablet too!!!
2009 Spanish Grand Prix: How the Mighty Have Fallen [SPOILER ALERT] {Autoblog}
May 10th 2009 3:44PM This race was the poorest of this season, but have you actually watched any race from last and this season. Like the last years championship decided on the last curve on the last lap on the last race. Massa fans already celebrating.
All this years races have been great. If anything F1 is on it's best ever when it comes to entertaiment.
Nokia, cheesiness featured in new Star Trek movie {Engadget}
May 10th 2009 3:17PM Can't see anything wrong with this one. While this might not be the same for many of the USA readers here, that Nokiatune is strong thing and is Nokia's trademark. Just play that in buss in Europe or shopping mall and most will be taking their phones out of their pockets. That advertise would have done the same without the Nokia logo.
