Feb 26th 2008 12:07AM just a note. I wrote that last comment on my touch. You can tell I'm still trying to get used to the keyboard. Sorry for some of the obvious spelling mistakes, there is still some tweaking to be done to the word complete function.

Feb 26th 2008 12:02AM actually I think amazon I trying to get people interested in buying the touch from them instead of apple since they screwed up the original shipment of the 32gb touches. Amazon had the 32gb touch on "preorder" with an unspecified ship date for way too long and I think they are doing anything they can to get people to buy it now.
I actually am one of he few amazon had lost by screwing up the touch preship. During "preorder" they had the touch at $475 and with the amazon prime I have, I would have been set. But they refused to quote a ship date and I was not going to wait around forever to get my touch. Not paying the tax would have been great, but I just said "forget it" and picked it up at my local apple store. I ended ip paying tax and had to wait foe them to find theirs in the large stockroom but at least they could give me an accurate availability information.
On well. Maybe for my next big ticket item amazon won't screw up the process.
