Apparent Xbox 360 "Jasper" spotted in the wild {Engadget}
Nov 27th 2008 6:26PM Mine's not a Jasper, but it is an HDMI model. Compared to my last Xbox 360 (Which is sitting in Microsoft's repair shop as we speak), this thing is whisper quiet. My old 360 would sound like a windtunnel, to the point that my roommates were complaining about it. Power supply's also noisy as hell too.
Hopefully, no RRoD on this one.

Nov 9th 2008 2:33PM I usually carry my Belkin AC adapter with me, or my car charger. I've never totally ran out of battery life on my iPhone 3G. Ever.
Sadly, when I use the included USB charge-only cable, (Which is like 6-7 feet. Fair bit longer than the included 3 feet cable with the iPhone) my iPhone thinks it's an audio accessory, shuts down all audio outputs save for the dock connector, and offers to go into Airplane Mode. I can't listen to music at all while it's charging.
Thankfully my 6-ft Phillips cable DOESN'T do that.
Dell teases with 17-inch quad-core laptop sporting 16GB of memory {Engadget}
Sep 22nd 2008 1:23AM It isn't. The video says 1GB of VRAM, 16GB of System RAM.
Dell teases with 17-inch quad-core laptop sporting 16GB of memory {Engadget}
Sep 22nd 2008 1:21AM Uh, that's 1GB of graphics memory, 16GB of system memory, if the video is correct.

Sep 21st 2008 7:32PM If this is some kind of joke, it ain't funny.
I've been reading that blog since 2004, and I've considered Mark one of my heroes.

Sep 7th 2008 12:47AM Something I never thought about at the Let's Rock event...
Maybe that software fix for the iPhone 3Gs is going to be outed or at least talked about...
Our iPhone 3G cracked, too -- what gives, Apple? {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 10th 2008 9:04PM It's like this...I really don't care about the cracks. If the phone still functions and it feels sturdy, I really don't care. After sending my MacBook through AS Walnut Creek, I don't think it's worth it to try it with an iPhone.
If the phone begins to feel a bit weak, then I'd consider sending it in.
iPhone 3G may be sold unsubsidized {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jun 11th 2008 5:25AM So I guess I'm not eligible. That sucks madly. I'd totally buy an iPhone 3G if I could get the $200 dealie.
I've been on my contract since mid-December 2007. Looks like my best chance is finding a friend to sign a two-year and throw them $200, then giving them my AT&T phone.
Found Footage: Samsung/Sprint goes after iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jun 8th 2008 6:08PM The iPhone wins overall because if you really give a damn about shooting video, you are going to do it with a dedicated video camera, not the shoddy one in the iPhone or the cell phones of today.
It seems as if that's the only thing the Instinct has on the iPhone.
Plus, the combination of a good phone (or bad, I've never handled the Instinct), plus a sinking ship (Sprint/Nextel) is not going to be good.
Psystar Open Computer notes, benchmarks and video {Engadget}
Apr 30th 2008 5:39PM Actually, you could install a new HDD, you would just have to use SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner, clone the patched OS X install over to the replacement drive, and then start up off the new drive.
Yes, you'd have to have both drives installed and working, but it's a lot better than having to send it off to Psystar.
