Some news from the editor's desk {Engadget}

Jul 22nd 2008 2:34PM I've been reading this site for more than 5 years, now, and it's been great. It's really come a long way. I'll continue reading it, of course, but it'll be interesting to see where it goes without you. We'll see you around, I'm sure. Take care.

The Bill Day giveaway (part 3) - Zune 80GB (black) {Engadget}

Jun 27th 2008 5:08PM I'd like to try one of them thar Zunes.

How would you change Wii Fit? {Engadget}

Jun 13th 2008 7:54PM Make the board wider. It's just a little too narrow for me to be able to get my hands on to do push-ups.

Ask Engadget: What's the best entry-level DSLR? {Engadget}

May 29th 2008 8:12PM This is coming from an avid Canon user with over $5000 invested in Canon gear.

If you're just getting into photography as a hobby, then I'd say it doesn't really matter which system you get into. If you plan on getting at all serious about it, right now I would say to go with Nikon. They've been showing a lot more innovation than Canon has been, lately, with the D300 and D3 (I haven't looked at the D60 and D80).

Monster Cable at it again, sues mini-golf company {Engadget}

May 27th 2008 9:35AM First, I am not a lawyer.

It may be silly, but if they don't defend their trademark they can actually lose the rights to it. Here's an example: Let's say they didn't pursue this suit. Some point in the future there may be a more serious threat to their trademark ("Minster Cable" or whatever). Monster Cable goes to sue them and they just point out to the courts that they weren't bothered by "Monster *" so why should "Minster Cable" matter? Case closed and Monster Cable now has a very big problem.

Canon's Rebel XS / 1000D specs uncovered {Engadget}

May 21st 2008 12:50PM If they're going to update the 5D, I'll bet it'll be at (or just prior to) Photokina this year. I think all their other DSLR lines have been updated too recently.

I hope they do. I'm very interested to see what they push out in response to Nikon's D300 and D3. If I wasn't so invested in Canon lenses I would have switched to the D300 rather than buying a 40D.

Canon's Rebel XS / 1000D specs uncovered {Engadget}

May 21st 2008 11:51AM I don't buy it for a second. The XSi has only just become available. It doesn't make sense for another low-end to come out from Canon so soon.

Poll: What's it going to take to make you buy a PS3? {Engadget}

Feb 27th 2008 12:26PM Sony has repetedly demonstrated that they don't care about their customers. I refuse to give them my money. Yes, that means I'll skip B1u-R4y.
