Mar 26th 2008 3:17AM As the owner of a tx1000 tablet pc, I have to say touch is great, but there is a major disadvantage of the screen looking grainy and not as clear due to the extra digitiser layer. A touch screen can really enhance productivity on a notebook, but if you are getting it primarily to say watch movies, then you are arguably worse off.

Aug 3rd 2007 12:31PM When it was announced it was at a dirt cheap 200 US, and later upped to 250 US.
It is meant as an extremely portable cheap computer to do simple stuff like browse the net. Its not obviously not for people who want a regular notebook.
Also, considering you will have to pay shipping regardless of what you get, it is pretty pointless to include it in your argument.

A quick search also yielded this PDF (http://club.hp.ua/materials/pdfs/PSG...PRING_2.0.pdf), which lists its weight at an extremely light 1.65kg, and battery life (I'm sure this must a typo) 16 hours? PDF also hints that apparently it won't have an optical drive, or WWAN.
Sounds like a low-specced model with power efficiency in mind.
