iPod account limit {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Dec 10th 2007 1:59PM Gee, struggling to reach your post quota or what Erica? I've known about this since I bought my first iPod, which I believe was around four years ago for the love of god X|
iPhone/touch-Kindle Smackdown {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 30th 2007 12:32PM This is a really silly comparison - no matter whether iPhone and iPod touch have video playback or so on or not, I would hate to read an eBook on their screen, but would be more receptive to the Kindle's larger greyscale eInk screen which bears much greater resemblance to actual print. Chris has already pointed out the advantages of this.
Freeverse drops critical update for Heroes of Might and Magic V {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 30th 2007 11:24AM Well received, not well reviewed. Well reviewed would indicate that the reviews written about it were high quality, not the game.
UK iPhone buyers 'misled' at Carphone Warehouse stores {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 28th 2007 11:44AM What an absolutely load of bullshit; it's disgusting that they're telling such patent lies to people. You have to buy an entirely new contract if you lose the phone?! What a crock!
There is an increasing desperation in UK phone shops to flog insurance, it's worse than the notorious 'coverplans' of the Dixons Group now. When I was buying my Blackberry I was asked repeatedly if I wanted to sign up for the CPW's 'Lifeline' insurance for £7.50 a month, and despite me declining point blank each tim the salesman still insisted on getting out the little leaflet and circling things and telling me all about how I was practically guaranteed to lose it and it would cost me lots to get a new one. Such bullshit, and such poor value - £7.50 a month to insure ONE BLACKBERRY?!
Insane. Everyone, avoid phone insurance. It's a rip off and you're probably covered by household insurance anyway (as others have said).
Next-gen credit cards to feature miniature displays and keypads {Engadget}
Oct 29th 2007 9:16AM Natwest Bank in the UK have recently started distributing small card readers that serve a similar purpose to this though are not built into the card itself (you have to insert your card). It generates a one-time use code each time you use it for online banking.
After the storm: iPhone & the U.K. {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Sep 27th 2007 2:05PM Sorry, but this is seems to be a massively pointless and fairly poorly written piece. We get it man, the iPhone is hotly anticipated. And N95 for £199? Christ no. More like free. It was silly to look at the cheapest possible deal for each phone rather than the most cost effective.
