Major Spam Hub Shut Down {Switched.com}
Nov 12th 2008 11:49PM I have won so many millions of dollars that today I tell them to just give the money to a local charity, I do not need it! LMAO I tried to contact large companys ie. Microsoft, Exxon Mobile, IBM just to name a few and they all said they would check into it and get back to me. I have heard nothing and continue to win a couple of million a week at least! I think the ISP that sends this garbage, should be held responsible for what companys send that they know is a scam or garbage!! Who in this country should a person report a internet scam to?
AT&T grows data revenue by leaps and bounds -- again {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 23rd 2008 9:19PM Nice to see T is not going broke, because they sure are breaking all the Bellsouth retired people. I have a very nice retirement ring that I would send to the head of T if I knew he would get it. A $2,200.00 deductible on meds and doctors before insurance even starts is what I would consider Grand Thieft!! I started my career with AT&T and finished with Bellsouth. T back then was known as MA Bell because they took care of the family so to speak. Today they are throwing the kids out with the bath water. SHAME ON YOU MA! JMHO
Guy Wins $5.15 Million Jackpot, Other Guy Unplugs Slot Machine {Switched.com}
Mar 6th 2008 10:32AM I was in the Gold Strike casino in Tunica,MS. and I only play the 5 and 1 and 2 cent slots after playing poker. I was there for 7 days in a poker tournament and all the slots give you a ticket you can put into another machine or cash in at the cage. I started with $20 and after 3 days had a ticket worth $299.96 I walked around a while and decided to play a 2 cent progressive game. When I put my voucher in, for about 30 seconds nothing happened and then it printed me out a 4 cent voucher and put no credits on the machine. After 5 days of talking to everybody I could and even having slot mechanics verify the machines that I had built my credits up on I was told I gave the ticket to someone else to cash in. I asked them to check the voucher box in the machine and find the $299.96 voucher because I was sure it was in the machine and the only one of that size. I was told they were removed a 4 AM and nobody had access to them except the counters. After 5 days of talk I was offered $100.00 to go away. This is a Harrahs property and I will never spend a dime in another one that they run. I also have told this story to well over 100 slot players and most have decided not to do business with Harrahs properties. And I was even told the machines never malfunction because they recently changed out the software running the machines. Wonder why they changed out something that was not broken? Ray
The World of Rare Coins: The Prized Double Eagle {Luxist}
Jan 31st 2008 4:56PM I remember as a child in the early 50's my father bought and sold gold and silver coins as a hobby. He must have sold well over 100 gold coins. I remember him saying if he could get $60.00 dollars for all the $20.00 dollar gold coins he got he would be rich. How times have changed!
Online Dating -- Five Things to Avoid {Switched.com}
Oct 10th 2007 6:27PM I joined a dating site I would love to name just to expose the length they go to to hook you as a customer. First it is free to look around, and they start sending you profiles of women close that are dying to meet you. Just join and you will be seeing women tonight. In the top right corner of most of the profiles are the letters OC. When you read the fine print in the disclamier you learn these are ONLINE CUPID girl that don't exist. They come right out and tell you this and someone is sending you e-mails from these OC's every day about how hot your are and I can't wait to be with you. Of course this never happens! Been there and done that!
I love hardware stores, but Home Depot ... hmm {BloggingStocks}
Jul 3rd 2007 3:52PM I live in a very nice neighborhood just off the interstate and in the last 5 years all four corners have developed explosively. 1/4 mile to the west I have a Home depot. To the east just across the interstate I have a Super Wal-Mart and a Lowe's. Many banks and fast foods are everywhere. I run a small business building waterfalls, watergardens and small Koi ponds. I buy liners, pumps, filters,tubing fittings and chemicals from these stores. The problem is if I don't know where it is and exactly what I want service does not exist. About the only thing employees do is re-stock shelves. Ask one for help and they are lost.
3 miles from me is a small family owned ACE Hardware store. I can walk in with a pump, filter and ornamental spitting anything and say I need to put all this together with the proper material. There is always someone standing there ready to help and in a very short time they will find everything I need. Their prices are a little higher, but when I walk in I know I will be helped in a timely manner and everything will work. THIS IS CALLED SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER. HOME DEPOT AND LOWE'S CAN'T EVEN SPELL CUSTOMER SERVICE MUCH LESS PROVIDE IT. JMHO
MSN's Customer Service Hall of Shame {BloggingStocks}
May 2nd 2007 11:00PM About customer service. I live within 1/2 mile of a super Wal-Mart and a Homedepot. I am three miles from a neighborhood ACE Hardeware. They are a little more expensive, but they meet me at the door ask what they can help we with and do just that. I am a small business owner and work with alot of odd fittings and connectors. H-D has it cheaper if you know what you are looking for and can find it. Forget about help. Same with W-M. I will pay a little more for the good service every time.
