AT&T taking Samsung a867 Eternity orders from stores, should be available this week {Engadget Mobile}
Nov 10th 2008 5:35PM AT&T stores in my region do not take orders for anything except accessories. I would like to know who says that orders can be taken... this is generally not true and will confuse customers.
BlackBerry Storm in action, ad nauseam {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 20th 2008 6:01PM Does anyone else think that typing seems to be going awfully slow? I mean, any other BlackBerry user will support the fact that typing on a Curve or 8700 is lightning fast. I think I can type almost as fast on my Curve as a regular keyboard (maybe even faster...?)
It seems like RIM kind of went away from some of the things that make a BlackBerry a BlackBerry with the Storm. I think most BlackBerry users will still be much more satisfied with a Bold.
I suppose RIM will capture a target market that they have not focused on before this though.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a poor product. I am very excited to see it when it comes out.
Samsung's QWERTY slider for AT&T is the Propel {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 10th 2008 6:25AM I really don't think Matt S was comparing the Propel to a BlackBerry. I think he was just responding to an earlier comment regarding young kids with smartphones, and how the Propel will help prevent against that.
AT&T is really pushing the qwerty dumbphone niche now. LG Xenon, Pantech Matrix, now this.
Clear as mud: Samsung i907 "Epix" is AT&T's version of the i780 {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 2nd 2008 7:19PM I am thinking the same thing as Sean Allen... where does it say ANYWHERE that the EPIX is the i907? So far all I have seen is that BGR is claiming it is, but it just doesn't make sense that the i907 would be something other than the Omnia/Mirage.
Think i600/i607... i900/i907? I don't see why they would deviate from their numbering pattern.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but can anyone shed some light?

AT&T's unlimited plan was a gametime decision {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 5th 2008 6:33PM @elgee02
I don't need to argue with you on the unlimited plan anymore, call any store in Tucson, AZ and they will confirm to you what I am telling you. It was not advertised AT ALL in Arizona but that doesn't mean we didn't have it.
I am not going to submit the information to websites like this when only Arizona customers can take advantage of it. It would have caused massive confusion and frustration for people who wanted it.
You are correct in stating that verizon has upgraded to EV-DO rev A across it's EV-DO network, but it does not change the fact that Verizon's aircards that have been brought into our store have previously peaked out at around 100 kbps, where our EDGE peaks at the same speed.
AT&T's unlimited plan was a gametime decision {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 5th 2008 1:33AM @elgee02
In fact, you are quite wrong about a lot you say.
AT&T has coverage in Coolidge for 3G, which you say does not. And also, listing Yuma twice in your post doesn't gain you an extra city.
I work in Flagstaff, and we are scheduled for HSUPA in July-September, which will by far murder VZW's EV-DO Rev. 0 they have here. Our EDGE speeds are around the same as the EV-DO here, so Flagstaff will be an epic win for AT&T soon.
And I'm sorry, do you work for AT&T? Or do you just make things up so you can seem cool? We had the unlimited plan statewide in January, which was when Cingular was fully rebranded AT&T.
And we had it in Tucson off and on the previous year while it was Cingular and Cingular is now the New. Cingular, is AT&T Mobility. And AT&T Mobility, is Cingular. Don't know if you knew that.
