Aug 18th 2008 7:53PM If Maserati's 85 locations wouldn't be enough, then how would MINI's 82 locations be enough? I wonder if it might be more a matter of geographic distribution of the dealers?
April Fools already? Lamborghini offers branded barf bag {Autoblog}
Mar 29th 2008 8:38PM To follow on JayP's comment, Crispin Porter & Bogusky did a MINI ad with a motion sickness bag in 2003. The bag read:
"Let's not mess up the interior" it says. "Let's make clickety-clak sounds as we climb to the top. Let's remember to keep our hands and feet inside the ride at all times. Let's spin round and round and round 'til the guy in the back just can't stomach it anymore. Let's motor."
Here is the only photo I have found online:

Jim Press: little trucks could be big {Autoblog}
Jan 28th 2008 9:40AM The Gladiator concept is ok, but I prefer the spartan ruggedness of the JT Wrangler Concept. I have a truck for chores, not for comfort and luxury. I want wind up windows, manual levers, and simple/rugged interior. And I also agree with the comment about using a small diesel. However, the right uni-body construction vehicle might just do the trick for me. Point is, YES, small trucks need to come back. For now, looks like I just have to keep my '92 Ranger running a while longer.

Popular Fiat 500 not likely to make it to America, Fiat boss says {Autoblog Green}
Nov 26th 2007 8:58AM For the record, you CANNOT find a MINI at a BMW dealership (unless it is pre-owned). You can only buy a new MINI from a MINI dealership. Of course, you needed to have a BMW franchise in order to qualify for a MINI franchise, which is why you'll often find them next door to one another - but the dealership networks are separate and distinct by BMW requirement.
Still, no matter how logical the argument, this is unfortunate news. I'd much rather have a cinquecento than a SMART.

Nov 22nd 2007 8:11AM We are now researching something for the wife to buy next summer to replace her 10-year old Saturn (which, at 160K+ miles, STILL averages 35MPG!). In looking at the VW, I had ruled it out immediately because of the relatively poor economy and general value equation.
Overall, it really is disappointing and frustrating the complete lack of options for a small, economical vehicle that isn't either a death trap, ugly as sin, or just a plain cheap heap. We want an economical vehicle to run - not a cheap piece of plastic with some metal and rubber bits around it.
Are we really that small of a minority of consumers here in the US that the options for a safe, well-equipped, aesthetically appealing, reliable, small, economical car are so few (and the options that exist continue their ceaseless bloat)? Even though my wife deserves a new car and this one is knocking on death's door, I am so frustrated that I'm seriously wondering how much longer we can make it last.
...Way to go auto manufacturers, your doing a GREAT job of keeping at least me OUT of the market for buying a new vehicle!
