Rumor: Australian iPhones will be unlocked {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

May 7th 2008 4:16PM Kurt: I'm assuming you mean T-mobile? Verizon has had 3G (but not 3GSM, of course) for a while now, longer than AT&T. Also, T-Mobile's 3G network uses weird spectrum that no one else really uses yet (1700mhz/2100mhz) and almost no one makes phones for. The 3G iPhone will likely have triband 3G (850/1900/2100), but quadband is unlikely. Also, given T-Mobile's painfully slow 3G rollout so far, I'm not sure how useful their network will be in a year. We'll see though.

BlackBerry Curve now available on Verizon {Engadget}

May 6th 2008 8:21PM You realize that AT&T sells a GSM new curve with GPS and no Wifi, right? As well as the 8820 with both Wifi and GPS? Personally I'd rather just have both, but that doesn't seem to be an option on Verizon's version of the 8820, or on their other Wifi phones.

Nokia's touchscreen Tube out in the wilds? {Engadget}

Apr 9th 2008 8:33PM We don't have video calling in the US anyway even on 3G phones, so it's kind of a moot point. AT&T removes the front facing camera on all phones that come with one before releasing them here. Welcome to America...

iLiberty frees my iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Mar 29th 2008 5:50PM iTunes backs up your iPhone's data every time you sync. After you do the jailbreak and connect it back to your computer, all you have to do is restore from the backup when iTunes prompts you to activate. The process may be slightly different if you aren't using an "official" carrier.

Toshiba sued for cloning Fujitsu's RakuRaku handset {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 17th 2008 10:43PM @Mike: They're both old-people phones, as I recall, which is why they're ugly and have huge ass buttons and the three speed dial buttons under the screen. They also have little functionality (intentionally), and simplified menus. They're comparable to the Jitterbug. http://www.jitterbug.com/Phones.aspx

iTunes 7.4.1 already released -- free ringtone workaround is NOT ok {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 8th 2007 2:45AM Apparently if you switch the extension back from ".m4r" to ".m4a" the trick works again. Don't ask me why... More info here: http://joemaller.com/2007/09/08/make-custom-iphone-ringtones-work-with-itunes-741/

Is this the Motorola MOTOROKR E7? {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 8th 2007 2:22AM Oh man, ones again "MotoMania" give negative comment. When "engadget mobile"
has news, "MotoMania" give always negative comments. What do
you want "MotoMania"?

I read your comment to all "Motorola" news. Likely you hate and mad with "engadget mobile". Why? Same questions to "MotoFreak". I don't believe any comments about "Motorola" if
"MotoMania" and "MotoFreak" says because comments
they give is not neutral comments.
