Verizon calls Sprint a deadbeat, takes it to court {Engadget Mobile}
Apr 17th 2008 2:41AM This is between Verizon and Sprint, not Verizon Wireless (a seperate company) and Sprint. More than likely it is the interconnect between the Sprint Towers and the regular phone system or for traversing Verizon's internet backbone (maybe having to do with Embarq, that causing the reason why they don't just cut a check). It could still deal with Verizon Wireless, but because Verizon is mentioned not Verizon Wireless, it is more likely to have to do with the connection between Wireless Services and Wired Telephone.

Dear Aunt TUAW: Help me buy a Mac Pro {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Mar 28th 2008 12:42PM Like most educators, the Dean has been out of the loop too long. Most modern Engineering is done on either Linux or Unix machines (which the Mac qualifies as, and is much cheaper than a Sun workstation). Only imbedded programming on Windows CE reqires a Windows machine, but that is easily fixed with Bootcamp, Parallels, or VMWare. Tell the dean that he needs to do some research before talking out of his ass.

Clear Channel digital billboards in SoCal hax0r3d {Engadget}
Mar 25th 2008 6:48PM How hard is it to have these billboards NOT be on the internet. It would be "Hack Proof" if they required physical human interaction to change the ads, instead of just pushing new ads over the 'net. But of course, Clear Channel probabily has one guy in North Dakota who runs all their billboards, just so they can pay the federal minimum wage.
F-Clear Channel.
