Nokia consists of 4 business groups:
1. Mobile Phones
2. Multimedia
3. Enterprise Solutions
4. Networks
Only Multimedia business group's products are referred as "multimedia computers". In fact, they are increasingly starting to look like ones.
The 1000 series come from the Mobile Phones BG, and they are naturally called phones.
We might be dumb sometimes in the naming business, but not that dumb :)

Mar 16th 2006 4:41AM I think the S60 application situation is quite healthy. As far as I know, so far more than 3000 applications have been released for S60. Unfortunately, these old S60 applications do not work in new S60 devices with S60 3rd Edition. They require at least recompiling.
