Singaporean yoinks fastest text messager crown {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 15th 2006 11:14AM So, based on the current track record of the records for this thing, the big competitors are Singapore and the United States. Nice. Keep on texting people.

ThisService 1.0 {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 31st 2006 11:45AM Speaking of Services, I found something very curious. I installed the Menu Editor extension on my Firefox 2.0 on my Mac and I found an entry called "Services" all the way at the bottom of the Tools menu's editing palette. It was active but it didn't show up, but still its very, very strange.

Also, I swear by ServiceScrubber to get rid of Services I know I'll never use like ChineseTextConverter (I don't write or receive anything in Chinese), Disk Utility (My disk images are just fine), Finder (I already know how to do these with either a keyboard shortcut or double click), FontBook (Does anyone use this app?), Grab (Keyboard shortcuts make these redundant), Make New Sticky Note (I don't use Stickies, not even real ones) and View in JavaBrowser (Give me a good reason and I will).

Videos of Leopard's 'live preview' in action {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 23rd 2006 7:06PM I can't watch the videos. For some reason, I keep getting a message that they are private...

Reasons to use Address Book {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 19th 2006 5:44PM Not only do I not use them, I got rid of them. Thunderbird with the Lightning extension installed: Mail, Address Book and iCal all in one! What more could one need? Besides Firefox to replace Safari and complete the set of course?

CoverFlow: I knew that looked familiar {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Sep 13th 2006 7:34AM OK, the only thing(s) I know Apple ripped off for a fact was Watson with Sherlock and maybe System Restore with Time Machine. But, what else did they "rip off"??

Daring Fireball: brushed metal saga continues {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jan 15th 2006 1:27AM Do you think Mr. Gruber would mind if, just for fun, someone were to bring these stories of his to life? Like a soap opera or sitcom of some kind?

It would air on tech-related networks like G4 or something...

...just an idea...

Switching back to Panther {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Aug 30th 2005 6:44PM Ok... Tiger; Safari with RSS, Dashboard and Spotlight Panther; Firefox with Sage, Amnesty Widget Browser and Quicksilver with Flashlight interface I never upgraded. A piece of software that was necessary for my normal use has still not been updated for Tiger. Until Tiger works well as per comments of current users and until that piece of software is released, I might upgrade but until then I will find Panther equivalents of Tiger technologies.
