Jul 20th 2007 2:46AM Is this really an 'almost' story? I mean, there's a working (but buggy) toolchain, written with no documentation, and a work app built on it. Sounds like a little more than 'almost'.

Verizon: Motorola Q not launching next week {Engadget}

May 22nd 2006 7:11PM I do admit that I meant blackberries connected to a BES in my comment. I know how horrible they are with out one - honestly RIM should be embarrassed how poorly they work alone. As for the feature comparison with the Q, any windows mobile device is going to win that hands down, but most people who want blackberries don't want cameras or video or music or things like that. They want a device to carry around and do email and calendaring on, and they don't want to futz around with a touch screen or menus. I really do like windows mobile devices, I carried an MDA around for about a month, but in the long run I'll choose easier email use over a swiss army knife portable.

Oh, and there are EVDO and EDGE blackberries. The 7250 I mentioned before is EVDO, as is the 7130, and the 8700 is EDGE.

Lastly, the PocketAdmin software that was pointed out is remote admin software, but it's not an native RDP client, it's its own thing. I would actually choose Idokorro for that over PocketAdmin.
