DISH Network's 1080p VOD service gets inspected, looks impressive {Engadget}
Oct 13th 2008 7:34PM Sitting at a distance it's already a tough call telling the difference between standard upscaled DVDs and Blu-Ray. This is doomed to fail, being that I work in the cable biz. Most customers can't tell the diff between HD and SD not to mention between 7209, 1080i or 1080p.
Verizon could charge content aggregators 3-cents per text message {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 13th 2008 7:28PM How do toy classify a "for profit" aggregator? It might sound like an obvious question but would the likes of Microsoft alerts or Google alerts be classified as for profit. After all their sole goal is to "spread the word" in order to supplement more advertising. In the end Microsoft, Google and Yahoo would now start charging a fee for their "alert " services. Just a thought but this sounds bad. Capitalism at work. Greed begets greedier.
HTC not bringing Touch HD to the States {Engadget}
Oct 7th 2008 2:18PM Unlike Europe, in the US there is not much competition when it comes to handsets. Who would have carried this? ATT? Unlikely, they are tied to Apple, Sprint couldn't sell it and Verizon would have to cripple it.

Oct 7th 2008 2:15PM I thought it was pretty funny. They did a good job. Tina Wood did good too.
Did you cheap out on a TV stand? It probably just got recalled. {Engadget}
Sep 24th 2008 3:32PM " . . . and it's suggested that you cautiously remove your set and wait for a "repair kit" before it does the removing for you. Godspeed."
One of the reasons I read Engadget. That was funny. Serious but yet funny.
T-Mobile's CTO on G1 unlocking and tethering -- plus a few details you might have missed {Engadget}
Sep 23rd 2008 4:49PM I noticed that during the conference the refrained from using iPhone and referred to it as the competition. Made good sense though. No point in overshadowing your own device. I think Android has a lot of hope, however I'm pretty sure the boys at Microsoft have nothing to worry about for a couple years.
Today was just the door opening for Android, it's gonna be a while before those so called limitless apps start rolling in.
T-Mobile G1 video hands-on {Engadget}
Sep 23rd 2008 12:54PM Did anyone notice that it took the iPhone about 2 mins to load engadget. Damn! My mogul on Sprint loads engadget in IE in less than 45 seconds.
T-Mobile G1 first hands-on (updated) {Engadget}
Sep 23rd 2008 10:25AM Damn! If not for how fugly that phone is I would have switched to T-Mob. If this phone fails it won't be because of Android it'll be because of an ugly design. What the hell happened in the design meeting?
Amazon music, movie downloads coming to T-Mobile G1? {Engadget}
Sep 22nd 2008 9:13PM I guess I'll find out in a couple hours but does this device have a media player and can it play WMA files?
HTC's Touch HD makes its video debut {Engadget}
