Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 scores cameo on Vodafone's site for October release {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 23rd 2008 3:27AM We get all the great devices first and we end-up paying more then anyone else. Just wonderful to be in the UK :-)

How would you change Nokia's E71? {Engadget}

Aug 23rd 2008 2:56AM My Euro E71 used in the UK has outstanding call quality and battery life.

The only thing I would change is to upgrade a video recordng to the E90 level (DVD quality @ 30fps)

Orange paying actors to line up for the iPhone 3G in Poland {Engadget}

Aug 22nd 2008 3:03AM Perhaps next they will be paying people to say that there are no bugs with the 3G iPhone and it has a perfect 3G signal!

iPhone 3G reception woes unfixable? Maybe, maybe not {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 15th 2008 3:23AM I think its a good sign that even though Engadget is very very iPhone biased they will publish not so good news about the iPhone. Shame they were so shy about the faults with the original FW of the 3G model. Fow me the UI seems like an overkill day-to-day use; nice as a novelty but daft when you know what you wnat to do and you want to do it quickly.

iPhone 3G reception woes unfixable? Maybe, maybe not {Engadget}

Aug 14th 2008 4:14PM Well the cheaper 3G iPhone over a sinple standard 2G iPhone must have required some cost cutting - like testing! Some network experts are saying the iPhone 3G imlementation does actually meet 3G standards and that the prototype 3G iPhones were different! Looks like Apple are learning about mobile technology in public. But the hype wont stop people from buying this faulty device. When will consumers learn to use their? Apple really has unbelievable supplier power.

REDFLY now available for $499, purpose even less clear {Engadget}

Aug 8th 2008 3:12AM I agree. Redfly should port their s/w to run on the EEE and they could say charge $50 fo that and they'll have better sales overall and wee can all buy the EEE901 :-)

Nokia 5800 Tube browser screenshots appear, underwhelm {Engadget}

Aug 5th 2008 12:55PM So Engadget's starting assumption seems to be Apple can do no wrong and Nokia doesn't know anything about real-world use of communication products. Well I'd much rather use a Nokia phone to make calls then an Apple iPod with comms added to it.

iPhone 3G and firmware 2.0: the day after {Engadget}

Jul 12th 2008 5:02PM Question for you 3G iPhone users:

- does BT GPS work (i.e. external BT GPS)
- is there a HID BT profile (so that you can use an external BT keyboard and use the iPhone as a UMPC)

iPhone 3G and firmware 2.0: the day after {Engadget}

Jul 12th 2008 4:58PM 3G does not just mean high speed data. It means better call quality as there is more capacity therefore less compression even at 2 bars.
