The Simpsons mocks (m)Apple {Engadget}
Dec 1st 2008 12:57PM Holy generalizations, batman!
When Apple's trendiness wears off, what will result is not zero sales, but rather an adjustment to 'proper' sales levels based on how useful people find the products.

The Simpsons mocks (m)Apple {Engadget}
Dec 1st 2008 12:46PM It has been a pretty good season. My only problem with it is that it seems that they're trying to step up the controversy to remain relevant in the age of Family Guy, but often the controversial jokes are a bit too on-the-nose -- like the nonstop terrorism jokes in last night's episode. Somehow it's a bit less funny and a bit more cringe-inducing than when Family Guy makes similar jokes. I'm not sure if they're just not written the same way, or maybe it's just that my expectations of the Simpsons are somewhat different.
Family Guy is known for being more brutally honest and inappropriate, but the Simpsons have come to represent an average American family, so when they're mocking something it seems a bit more "serious" in a way.

Xbox 360 outsells the original Xbox, Microsoft heads down to the trophy shop {Engadget}
Nov 25th 2008 2:34PM Why not? At this point they're practically giving them away.
RED making "Big Change" announcement on December 3rd {Engadget}
Nov 25th 2008 2:31PM I totally want to see Jannard introduce a new iPod. Or Jobs introduce a new RED camera (sorry, multifunction unobtanium media capturing device). April 1, 2009?
Xbox 360 outsells the original Xbox, Microsoft heads down to the trophy shop {Engadget}
Nov 25th 2008 2:29PM I agree with the OP (Billy).
First, I'm surprised to learn the 360 has been out for 3 years, seems more like 2. While I'm impressed that it beat the original's sales numbers, apparently it did so in 6/7ths the time (3 years instead of 3.5). I'd expect the 360 would have beat the original more quickly because, while the original was a great success, my impression has always been that the 360 was a massively better seller. I'm one of the many people I know who has a 360 but never bought the original.
In any event, it's a shame about the RROD debacle, because the 360's a great platform. I use it all the time for streaming movies from a Mac, and the NXE + Netflix integration is awesome.

Production Tesla Roadster gets glorious hands-on: stifle your envy, please {Engadget}
Nov 24th 2008 6:45PM To my eyes, the exterior is not as nice as the Elise.
But the interior -- oh my. Beautiful.
If only I could afford one. I know it's tough times, but I wish Tesla the best. Awesome car, with enough performance for virtually anyone, and great range as well.
First pics of Motorola's MOTO QA30 QWERTY slider {Engadget}
Nov 24th 2008 12:09PM Exactly. I love sliders, but apparently Moto didn't get the memo about using the slider form factor to put in a big screen that dominates the top panel.
