Man ticketed for making call mid-flight, plane doesn't crash {Engadget Mobile}

May 19th 2008 1:48PM I don't care what reason they give as long as the airlines keep the cell phone ban in place. And self-indulgent, arrogant dinks like Cash are reason numero uno. People like Cash think they should get to do what they want because they think their reason is good enough, but they are the first to tell someone else that person's reason is not good enough. "I don't turn off my cell when the cabin door closes anymore." Well good for you, Cash, you little rebel you. Just make sure you keep talkin' loud and proud and you'll show the rest of us, won't you? dear Ndugu,

my name is warren r. schmidt and i'm your new foster father. lately i find myself asking teh same questions: who is this old woman who lives in my house? why is it that every little thing she does irritates me? i hate the way she sits. and the way she smells. for years now she has insisted that i sit when i urinate. my promise to lift the seat and wipe the rim and put the seat back down wasn't good enough for her.

The hundred gadget giveaway: round 15 {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 7th 2007 3:07PM I personally believethat US cell phone users are unable to do so because, um, some people out there don't have SIM cards, and, uh, I believe that carriers like such as of Vodaphone and Verizon, um, everywhere and T-Mobile should like, um, our service over there in here should be help for those there and with the CDMA, so, like, we can build up our portability and trade the numbers for our phone that don't have them.

Bluetooth please.

Hot flips: launch details for Verizon's VX8700, MOTORAZR maxx Ve {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 2nd 2007 12:18PM First of all, I don't know why people insist that their experience is the way it is for everyone and anyone who disagrees must be an incompetent moron. That said, look at the reviews for the 8600 on Phonescoop (probably the best resource for user reviews), and overwhelmingly the poor speakerphone is the biggest complaint. Nothing else is even close. I give a lot more credence to that than to one LG sales guy who might have a little bias.

Hot flips: launch details for Verizon's VX8700, MOTORAZR maxx Ve {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 28th 2007 6:21PM From what I understand, the main differences are that the MAXX has the bigger external display, autofocus and the external music controls. The 8700 will be a little smaller. From my experience, LG phones are generally more compatable with the Verizon network. I'm going with the 8700, provided the speakerphone is better than on the 8600, because I don't care about the music player, and the RAZR thing is a bit played out. Plus I'm liking the screen shots of the 8700 a lot better.

LG VX8700 "Shine" for Verizon in the wild {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 28th 2007 4:59PM Asking about this versus an enV is like asking about a stiletto versus a Swiss Army knife. Two entirely different animals. The VX8700 is "cool" and thin. The enV is bulky, has a full keyboard for texting and other features. Appropriate comparisons would be the enV versus the Samsung U740, and the VX8700 versus the KRZR, Maxx VE or the VX 8600.

Mar 28th 2007 3:16PM Is anyone else surprised they are bringing this out so soon after the VX8600?
