UMD Movies for PSP: The new 8-track! {Joystiq}
Dec 12th 2006 8:24AM I love MiniDisc's... I still use mine to this day. I purchased my deck and portables back in the mid to late 90's and they still work flawlessly.
It was a great product and Sony just didn't know how to really market it. I guess that and I'm not sure the American public really was able to understand it and get over their obsession with making mixed tapes...

Rubik's Cube PS3 commercial doesn't make babies cry {Joystiq}
Nov 6th 2006 3:05PM I don't know about you guys, but these ads get my dog to stop doing whatever she is doing, dead in her tracks.
She watches the ad and the continues on chewing whatever it was she wasn't supposed to be chewing before the ad.
I DVRed the commercial if only to subdue my puppy for a few minutes.
Microsoft Zune player and software hands-on gallery {Engadget}
Nov 3rd 2006 10:46AM Just curious if anyone knows if the input plug on the bottom is the same size as the iPod's? I know in a CNet review I watched they said it was a proprietary USB input, but it looks roughly the same dimensions as an iPod adapter from all the photogs that I have seen.
I'd love to look into a Zune but only if I'd be able to use it with my existing iPod2Car installation.
TIA.
White or dark Chocolate? Verizon and LG baking another {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 9th 2006 3:10PM I've owned the phone for slightly more then a month now and love it. It's by far one of the easiest phones to use in the Verizon stable right now. My brother has the Moto E815, and while that was my choice when it came for my NE2 discount, it was mighty old by that time and I was wanting something a little newer.
The touch controls take a bit of getting used to, but you can also adjust them accordingly to your tolerance.
Another huge plus is does not have the standard VZW GUI but rather runs on a form of flash.
It's a buy if you ask me.
Scion holds showroom design contest {Autoblog}
Sep 26th 2006 9:39AM Scion co-exists within Toyota dealerships. I believe there are only 1, maybe 2 as self sufficient dealerships in the US and this is why the 750 sq/ft is the desired size so that it doesn't take away any more of Toyota's showcase floor then it really has to. They just want enough for info, kiosks, a few sales associates, and that's it.
Did someone ask for this? The Alco-watch {Autoblog}
Aug 16th 2006 2:26PM I didn't ask for it... but if the price were right, I'd consider it.
It'd definitely be the talk of a party... and hell I'd have fun guessing what my BAL is prior to blowing into the little thing.
Here's to beer!

NHTSA probes Toyota Scion moonroof failures {Autoblog}
Jul 12th 2006 2:55PM @1 - I understand where you are coming from, but it boggles my mind why someone wouldn't atleast tilt up the roof... it improves the airflow thru the car immensely and reduces the wind noise.
@3 - Tell your friend to spray some lubricant on the tracks near the wind deflector rails. A lot of times this'll happen to me when it's hot, and only if the car has been sitting in the sun for a period of time. Once it starts doing this, I just apply a little grease to the rails and all works great.
@12 - I agree it's a human problem, but any company is bound to have it's share of problems with an increased stake in the market place. I'd still love to see the % of vehicles effected vs. total units sold and compare Toyota/Honda and the Big 3...
I do believe it's an isolated problem though... have any 06 or 07 cars been effected by this? I believed it was an 05.
