Mac share of web browsing goes up after Windows 7 launch {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 3rd 2009 5:48PM Vista was very much a break from XP. The kernel was almost totally rewritten. 7 is a very nice refresh and clean up of the Vista disaster. I'm running it on my desktop and on my MBP (Bootcamp of course). 7 is nice, and stable, but still isn't OSX.
AT&T sues Verizon over 'there's a map for that' ads {Engadget}
Nov 3rd 2009 5:26PM I thought the ads were funny (the first 300 times). But I also thought that the maps were total coverage for both networks so I was fooled. It should be an easy fix for Verizon.
I do believe that Verizon has a better network, but I need GSM, and I love my iPhone so it's a toss up on what is more important, great phone or great network (that I can't fully utilize).

Trillian's 75-day limbo: the App Store, Freewill, and the pocket veto {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Oct 29th 2009 1:38PM Trillian is a great program and I've been a paid user for many years. I'm very disappointed that their iPhone app is in limbo and I appreciate you letting us know what is going on with it.
Google says it's now blocking 'fewer than 100' numbers in Google Voice {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 29th 2009 8:23AM @Brian. Nothing is free. Somewhere, somehow, someone is paying someone else something.
If you own one of these 100 numbers or are calling one of these numbers then your choices are restricted based on a corporate decision, not freedom of choice by the end user.
Microsoft retail store opening in AZ copies freely from Apple Stores {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Oct 24th 2009 10:37PM @Light Speed... STFU and go back to www.windows.com and bing off.
FCC net neutrality rules enter drafting process, face McCain challenge {Engadget}
Oct 23rd 2009 9:47AM @Andir While your statement is very interesting there are millions of people who don't have the option of switching. You seem Libertarian. When are we going to elect someone to office?
@rightwingnutjobs: I like McCain, he's a good man BUT any bills the Republicans put out that have the word Freedom, Patriot, Security in the title means that the citizens are fucked because big business will have complete control (or in the case of Homeland Security a bloated worthless division of government that needs disbanding). I don't trust AT&T, Comcast, Cox, or any of them to regulate themselves anymore than I do the banks. You right wingers should be jumping on this net neutrality bandwagon, it's good for you too. The only people its not good for are superrich assholes who run those billion dollar corporations. The effects of this bill will have minimal effects on ISP's. All it does is keep them from screwing us with unfair charges.
Nokia sues Apple, says iPhone infringes ten patents {Engadget}
Oct 22nd 2009 12:26PM The damn phone has been out for over 2 years. They are obviously not aggressively enforcing the rights violations they are alleging after so much time. Legally they might be within the time frame, but we all know that companies wait years so that settlements will be higher than ever.
MMOGs rated in Australia. Warcraft a bit late, no sign of Conan, Warhammer {Massively}
Oct 13th 2009 9:54AM Not move to Australia for that reason? sheesh. I'd move there in a second. If I knew I could get a job.
