Apr 2nd 2008 11:08AM it's pretty sweet, just downloaded for my son and he loves it - but no real strumming, and only 3 notes, and a polyphonic version of all songs is a bit odd, may grate on your nerves...but wow, this could keep my kids busy in the car for hours and then i can avoid all phone calls! -dave, passingnotes (.com)

Feb 13th 2008 11:39AM i'm also quite disturbed by this - specifically, the lack of an incremental upgrade while boasting that paying for 5.0 improves leopard compatibility. this is a violation of user trust and yazsoft can certainly expect to alienate tens of thousands of potential customers (yes, go check out the macheist bundle purchase count)
...but most troubling of ALL is the auto-update to 5.0 - this is simply wrong wrong wrong. many half awake users are clicking and *then* finding out it's a paid upgrade...could you imagine if omni group did this with their 5 beta for omnigraffle pro OR any other larger software vendor? autoupdate should not enable "paid upgrade" updates, period.

Jan 11th 2008 10:40AM i bought NNW ages ago and love it, super fast on the mac, and with the free release i've pulled down the free blackberry app as well (you forgot to mention the online integration as a major distinguishing factor - NNW does offer an online reader if that's your thing - so use the offline to click rss buttons and add fees and it will synch up with the online newsgator site which in turn will sync with your blackberry or mobile device - all for FREE!!) nicer offering overall...

Nov 9th 2007 10:29AM yes, it is true. i'm a FIOS customer in boston and as i was reading this in my rss reader, was also in the support forums for a software app - so i looked at the url for the forum thread and deleted (randomly) some letters knowing that the long url (with forum thread path) would not exist and sure enough i wound up at http://wwwwz.websearch.verizon.net/(search string) - scary...
