Aug 22nd 2008 11:47PM Wheeee! I want.
Canada might be getting the iPhone 3G {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jun 10th 2008 12:33PM It looks like the silhouette is of a BlackBerry, perhaps the Thunder? Probably the 9000.
Ask Engadget HD: Does cable, satellite, or fiber provide more HD? {Engadget HD}
Feb 7th 2008 10:40AM What a crappy review, I really am disappointed, considering I came from the Engadget feed, entitled "Engadget HD definitively answers: does cable, satellite, or fiber provide more HD?" First paragraph:"...there actually isn't a clear cut answer to this week's Ask Engadget HD question..." WTF?!! Great job providing lists of channels that are too long to scroll through or to reasonably compare them side by side. Like I am really gonna sit there and count them up. Shame on whoever authorized this posting, you guys have really let me down. I'm gonna have to remove Engadget from my RSS reader for a few days to see if I need you anymore.
Nokia 3120 classic gets real {Engadget Mobile}
Feb 5th 2008 12:24PM Any idea what flavor of Symbian this comes with? Looks like an S40 phone.
Are French "unlocked" iPhone Country-locked? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Dec 17th 2007 10:31AM Ya know, everyone tends to overlook the rules and regulations of our own FCC that state quite clearly that ANY phone may be unlocked as long as:
1) The phone has been activated for at least 90 days.
2) The customer has been in good financial standing with their carrier for at least that long (no disconnects, that resets it.)
Now AT&T claims that it doesn't have the capabilities to unlock the iPhone, and tells all who meet the above conditions to contact the FCC about it.
I believe that once Americans start getting litigious about this (more litigious, I'd say...), the process will become more accessible to those who are legally entitled to it.
Ask TUAW: Scanning bills, migrating, iWOW, Cover Flowing and more {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Dec 3rd 2007 12:02AM To try and answer pdcryan:
If you wanted to network a scanner to a Mac, or more specifically to scan things at a scanning station and then download the pictures onto a MAc at later time, may I suggest buying an all-in-one printer with the ability to scan to memory card connected to an Airport Extreme Base Station. The scanner function won't work directly through the MAc anymore, but you would be able to scan to the memory card (which would be recognized as a network drive) and then open the files on the Mac. Having to run the scanner into the Extreme is a bit inconvenient, but at least it looks at home in a kitchen. It may not be portable, as most devices that have this are bulky all-in-ones, but it would do the job. Epson and Canon both make printers that can do this.

Nov 21st 2007 6:00PM Sounds like Frank may work for Apple. Way to be Apple's henchman Frank! I hope that your home is annexed by the state to open a new Apple store. Hooray for eminent domain! Boo to Frank and his sycophantic whining...
iPod touch splayed but Bluetooth mystery continues {Engadget}
Sep 15th 2007 10:47AM Ok,
Here is the answer to the bluetooth mystery: Bluetooth will be unlocked with the release of Leopard. 10.4 does not support the Bluetooth A2DP profile. 10.5 will. Take note that I said this first.
Installing the iPhone Developer Toolchain: A simple How-To {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Sep 11th 2007 2:46PM Well, at least you posted the toolchain. I was about to delete this site from my RSS reader when I started to read the unintelligible "iPhone Coding" posts. It takes that extra bit of geek arrogance to assume that iPhone owners are all fluent in Objective-C. You guys ride the iPhone way too hard anyway. If you are going to continue posting to the 0.0001% of iPho'wners who code, perhaps you should start another site.
NBC hits back at Apple, claims it didn't want more money {Engadget}
Sep 3rd 2007 1:36PM What I suspect is that NBC pulled their shows from the iTMS just in time to hawk their HD-DVD editions of the previous seasons shows. Who's gonna buy the first season of Heroes on HD-DVD when they could buy every episode on the iTMS at 720i resolution and still come in under by several dollars?? It's just a temporary thing while NBC tries to maximize profits off their disc sales.
