Samsung InstinctQ gets WiFi certification, but what is it? {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 13th 2009 9:01PM No, no. I use my data plan all the time and I understand the need for having a data plan for a smartphone. Its just that I have been a customer with Sprint for more than 10 years and love my grandfathered family plan which has already has a unlimited data plan. I also don't use too many minutes so unlimited minutes wouldn't be necessary for me. So switching to a SE plan would cost me twice as much without any benefit over my existing plan. I don't blame Sprint for trying to get people off of plans that they don't make alot of profit from but they are certainly not doing me any favors in forcing these SE plans. I think I will eventually switch if they do force the SE plan for all Android phones but hopefully I can get the Pro2 as my next phone without SE.

Jul 13th 2009 1:01PM I hope the first Android phone doesn't get branded as an Instinct. If so they will probably force all Android phones afterwards and this Samsung to need to be activated under a Simply Anything Plan since all other Instincts do too.

Leaked Sprint roadmap reveals slew of releases through September? {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 10th 2008 8:24PM I guess you don't know Sprint much at all. They like to release phones that have been obsolete for months. Think Palm 800w :) *kidding*

Jul 9th 2008 9:57PM I don't believe the CDMA Touch Diamond has passed the FCC yet. Don't know where you saw the FCC docs for it. Only the Raphael (CDMA Touch Pro) and Neon (CDMA Touch Dual) has passed.

Jul 9th 2008 1:43PM I say the HTC is the Touch Dual as well. The FCC docs on the CDMA Touch Dual have confidentiality until early August and the CDMA Touch Pro confidentiality lifts in October. Plus the naming convention. Makes much more sense that its the Touch Dual.
Cox to give Phoenix TiVo users free tuning adapter to cope with SDV {Engadget HD}
Jun 3rd 2008 1:29PM Awesome. This news made my day. Cox HD channels here in Kansas haven't switched to SDV yet but will sometime this year so that will be just in time for the tuning adapters to be introduced. Hopefully Cox Kansas follows the lead of Cox Phoenix.
