Radio Shack ad confirms Xbox 360 price cuts? {Engadget}
Aug 21st 2008 11:01AM Aww... Too bad I just picked up my 360 Elite for ~$320 and change after all cashback from Live and my CC... yes, I may have to wait a while to get the $$$, but I'd gladly wait 30 days for $120 on day 31...
Here's to no RRoD...
I would have bought a PS3 in all actuality, but nobody I know has one and I figure on Blu-Ray players dropping in price this holiday season...
80GB PlayStation 3 arrives early at Best Buy, Friday in Europe {Engadget}
Aug 19th 2008 9:32AM Man... I'm torn...
80GB PS3 (Blu-Ray, WiFi, and nobody else I know with one) or a $325 360 Elite (120GB HDD, streaming Netflix, more people I know have one to play LIVE with, but possibility of RRoD)....
Ugh... decisions, decisions....
Scion's newest ad campaign puts reader's rides on billboards {Autoblog}
Aug 1st 2008 8:12AM Well if they are now rating them at 27MPG, people will be pleasantly surprised to get 30MPG highway with the 5MT as that is what I regularly get. Windows down, windows up, AC cranked, AC off, going 75 to 80 with or without cruise, I continually get close to 30MPG highway. Also I would say mixed driving between town and highway I still get 26 which isn't bad if you think about how bloated the car is due to it's glass top.
Kazunori Yamauchi: More Prologue, no GT5 soon, GT PSP still coming {Joystiq}
Jul 17th 2008 9:45AM I ditto your comment, minus the Lumines part.
I eventually bought and returned several games and to this day THE only game I have for my PSP is GTA - Liberty City Stories. I haven't touched my PSP for months. Even took it on vacation and played Tetris on my GBA SP instead!!!
Comcast bolstering HD lineup in Pittsburgh, PA {Engadget HD}
Jul 3rd 2008 9:46AM They (Comcast) better pick up their game... FIOS TV is making/made it's way into several communities. Only bad part is that Verizon has a 6 month backlog on HD boxes.
Major wireless carriers all slapped with text-messaging class-action lawsuit {Engadget}
May 20th 2008 9:07AM What keeps us safe from telemarketers calling us in the USA is the fact that it's illegal and a $15,000 fine whenever a company calls your cellphone to solicit you.
I would assume that text messaging would fall under the same contexts.
As far as faxes go, the company I work for receives a bunch every morning... I don't think it's illegal as you're not paying per fax to receive or send.

May 20th 2008 8:52AM My parents both have Verizon and neither one of them receive text messages. They called up the CSR and said they don't want to receive them... bam, text messages blocked!
This lawsuit will be thrown out quite quickly...

May 9th 2008 2:27PM I agree... I work out at best 4 days a week and find that to be enough.
Firmware update cures auto off issue in Samsung 650 LCD HDTVs {Engadget HD}
May 9th 2008 8:08AM I purchased this TV a little over a month ago and the firmware update was available when I purchased it. After about a week, the TV started to do the 'phantom reset'... I downloaded the firmware, followed the instructions, and within two to three minutes, my TV was patched.
I haven't had the issue (knock on wood) since. Seems like everything is working as it should.
For those without a jumpdrive, you can contact Samsung and they will send you out a drive with the firmware preloaded.
This set is phenomenal and definitely worth the money.

Apr 24th 2008 4:32PM Who is to say these individuals (myself included) do not already donate money to charities and organizations throughout the year? If I decide I want to drop $3k on a TV then so be it. It's a free society.
I doubt the $3k I'd send to Africa would even make it there. Look, if the millions and millions in aid that goes to third world countries gets squandered why would I want to send $3k of my hard earned money? To feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Sorry, not going to happen...
