Verizon CEO hates on Steve Jobs, doesn't see iPhone as a mass-market handset {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 1st 2008 10:07AM Wow, I can't wait for the perfect storm of Verizon fanboys and iPhone haters on this one.

Deutsche Telekom looking to pick up Sprint? {Engadget Mobile}

May 4th 2008 2:48AM Isn't DT being sued in Germany currently due in small part to the acquisition of Voice Stream in the US without the consent or even knowledge of their shareholders? In the middle of a huge case like this, it's one of the many reasons I don't see this happening anytime soon.

AT&T feels a little left out, launches unlimited plan, too {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 19th 2008 10:37PM It should be noted that Verizon was trying to undercut Sprint's initial trial of unlimited service, which is a good move for something that could attract customers. AT&T just did they same since Verizon made it serious. Only people who don't play this game are Sprint, T Mobile, Alltel and (insert regional here). Soon as AT&T changes a plan or feature, Verizon does the same.

AT&T's 2008 plans include 80 new cities with 3G, HSUPA network {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 7th 2008 3:29AM well the current reason for the lack of 3G in so many errors is due to the AT&T wireless and Cingular wireless merger and still changing over the differing bands of GSM the limited and failed project of UMTS from AT&T wireless over to one standard. Ironic this is still going on after the name has almost changed back. That puts the company about 3 years behind, basically starting from nowhere. But the build out is going to were the majority of users are at the time, so not all major areas in general have it.

T-Mobile buying Suncom for $1.6 billion {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 17th 2007 10:36PM Suncom still exists in NC, SC and I believe another state. AT&T basically only bought Suncom in some areas such as Virginia.
