Jan 19th 2008 10:23AM ben did u know that the maximum bit rate for dvd is just under 10mbit/s encoded at mpeg is better then a avc endoed at 4 mbits/can be especialy with upconverter(but its nto as good as a 6 mbits avc video/ avc has just over twice as efficent compared to mpeg 2) and this is alll like the halo only runs at 640p nativly but is upconverted to 720p every one has to take a stand demand better quality becuase very few donwloaded movie have good pq quality-bit rate ration ( a 4 mbit avc 720p can look amazzing!!! but a 7 mbit one look that much better and u mite actrualy get hd audio)

Oct 31st 2007 5:46PM haha your a real ideot did u know that best buy makes 14% minun profit off the price they sell you and u knwo what best buy wills till make 70 bucks off one of there player and paniisonic will make 50 buck selling it to best buy i feel sorry for hd dvd when toshiba is selling its 198 player at a LOSS and even the cheap chiness venture player will sell for 250 wont be able to compet wit a brand name like toshiba lol u do relize that beta max was cheaper then vhs(cough hd dvd) and beta max only had sony as a main manufacture(coufg toshiba) plus hd dvd only has 54% stand alone market share when they are 200$ cheaper the the cheapest blu-ray player and also have been out for 3 months more then blu-ray!!! but ya i made i wanted a enthernet port so i can buy more stuff off my player rite cuz i wanan find out i need to buy stuff off my disc nlol and have u ever tried to use a pip feture on a 198 toshiba player by the time the dam thing loads u would of watched half the movie alredy and never mine all the jidders u guys are better buying a chines [player then taht toshiba

Oct 20th 2007 12:24AM lol thats just romours and why would that affect blu-ray when poplerelze that they cant play spiderman or pirates or casinoroyal in hd dvdplayer or f4:ross or any fox sony disney orl ionesgate for that matter they will ahve to decide if its worth havng hd dvd for uni and paramount films and when hd dvd comesout with a player at 100 the bda will come out wit a 200 player and still sell twice as many discs
