Tuners take a look at Genesis coupe, Hyundai provides details on track version {Autoblog}

Jul 24th 2008 6:26PM I find it amusing the 'track' version will have 19" wheels - you ever try to price or find proper fittments for 19" R Compound tires? Even 18s are ridiculously expensive.

The Bill Day giveaway (part 2) - Office Ultimate 2007 {Engadget}

Jun 27th 2008 2:30PM I've managed to avoid paying for MS products for years, but durn Xbox live on durn Halo 3 has got me with a yearly fee. And I like it.

HTC Touch Diamond surfaces at CompUSA {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 19th 2008 2:35PM I don't know - given its potentially abysmal battery life, useless band support, and typical winmo foibles, this phone has all the appeal of a supermodel with no genitalia.

Might work for some, but I'll pass... :)

Sony Ericsson leaks galore include F305 motion gaming phone {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 15th 2008 9:40PM I'm trying to imagine how motion activation would be tied in to Johnny Crash...what gesture do you do to flap his arms? =:-o

Nokia VP: video calling not successful because it turns you ugly {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 3rd 2008 6:08PM There's really something to that. I worked on a video / powepoint eLearning tool a while ago that was based on the premise of the educator being able to show themselves to their remote students. Many profs wanted it turned off - they did want to show specific snippets of some manual process however.

The real thing driving a new feature should be its usefulness...not how good it looks on TV.

Man ticketed for making call mid-flight, plane doesn't crash {Engadget Mobile}

May 19th 2008 12:48AM I had a friend that was a corporate pilot that used to call me all the time. They said there was a problem with billing, since the phone would contact too many cell towers. Interference = complete BS.

Nokia promises "a lot" more phones in the US, we say "orly"? {Engadget Mobile}

May 7th 2008 12:55PM I don't want a lot, I only want a US capable 3G N82. If their devices just supported US 3G, that would go a long way toward showing dedication to the US market.

LG touchscreen UI contest ends... in a racecar? {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 10th 2008 11:35AM And I thought my 'Toaster' interface idea would have been a sure thing - the chromey metal interface waits 60 seconds, overheats, then makes the call to the delicious crispy smell of your pocket on fire.

AT&T survey suggests DVR control, e-wallet functionality for iPhone {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 10th 2008 11:28AM Seems pretty silly to me to ask users if they want some of these features. Seems to me that everyone's going to want the free stuff, then statistically, ewallet and remote features will be less significant, and that'll be a good justification for not doing them.

Statstically in 2002, probably not many users would have jumped for a 5GB MP3 player either.

Motorola insider tells all about the fall of a technology icon {Engadget}

Mar 26th 2008 2:04PM The only thing special about the iPhone is that it's a clean-sheet of paper design with a very specific focus. Nokia, SE, and RIM haven't dared to start from scratch to that extent. Moto even less.

But the statement 'innovate or die' was never more true; another example of greed stifling innovation.
