Nokia XpressMusic 5610 comes to T-Mobile {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 11th 2008 9:51AM That sure as hell looks like a 3.5mm jack to me -- am I missing something?

Nokia E66 finds its way into the FCC {Engadget Mobile}

May 22nd 2008 11:01PM Considering that the E65 doesn't have US 3G capability, doesn't seem like it'd necessarily be that big of deal to switch to the E66 -- if you can live without it now, it's not the end of the world if the E66 doesn't have it.

TUAW Review: Napster MP3 store {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

May 22nd 2008 4:48PM Try adding drm'd itunes tracks to anything other than a OSX/Windows/iPod and you see where it's a pain. There's nothing illegal about me wanting to listen to my music when I happen to have my Ubuntu partition open, or when I am using my N95 instead of my Touch, or when I want them on an internet tablet, palm, wherever.

I like to have my tracks all over the place, so regardless of what device I have I've got some tunes.

Not sharing with anyone, not passing them on -- just trying to use the product I paid for legally.

Sure, if you are never going to use anything outside of the iTunes/iPod ecosystem for playback, DRM is no big deal -- but a lot of us use other devices as well (I counted the other day and on a regular basis I use 6 different operating systems, all of which have mp3 playback capabilities).

Nokia switching up strategy to boost US market share {Engadget Mobile}

May 2nd 2008 9:34AM To be honest, I don't care as much about Nokia being involved with contract pricing phones -- sure, great, fine, whatever, I know it helps out -- but what I DO care about is them making models that are usable in the US unlocked (as in 3G) -- something that they've FINALLY started to do with the N95-3 and the N95-4.

Now if they can get me a good N or E series phone with T-Mo's 3G bands I'll be a happy camper!

iPhone Application List {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 18th 2007 10:52AM Hey, just as a heads up. Newer Nokia Series 60 phones, such as the N and E series (N95, N73, N93, etc), can also take advantage of these web apps, as the Nokia browser is also a KHTML/WebKit browser.

Over at Howard Forums in the S60 section, we've been testing several of these out and they work mostly fine, although the different screen sizes sometimes cause confusion.

CNET's James Kim and family missing -- have you seen them? {Engadget}

Dec 1st 2006 5:38PM Unfortunately there are large stretches of the coastal range roads that have nil for cell reception... including analog. I really hope they spot the car from a heli or something, and I REALLY hope that everything is ok.

James Kim -- brief update {Engadget}

Dec 1st 2006 5:33PM When you realize that Hwy 38 is notiorious for zero Cell reception, you understand why he probably called from a landline. Usually when I've taken that route, the only time I've gotten reception with ANY carrier is spotty Verizon reception, and analog when it was still active. There's a good 50 mile stretch through winding roads where communication is non-existant.

I hope this works out, I sincerely do.

Data Troubles This Morning? {BBHub}

Sep 26th 2006 2:03PM Using T-Mobile, data problems here... I can't use the built in browser for anything except t-zones sites... Opera works fine, but that's because it uses the wap.voicestream.com APN rather than the BlackBerry APN.

Pearl Poll: Will you buy the BlackBerry Pearl 8100? {BBHub}

Sep 7th 2006 12:33AM I'll have it on the 12th... and if it sucks, I'll return it shortly thereafter. I have high hopes, but will be very critical of it (it better be a good PHONE unlike the 7105t!)
