Singaporean iPhone 3Gs drop visual voicemail, iTunes {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 21st 2008 3:07PM At this point why would someone not just get one of the many other phones with a large screen instead?

YouTube hits Apple TV today, headed for the iPhone as well {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 20th 2007 10:01AM YouTube is already available on phones since last week on http://m.youtube.com I wonder if they use the same site for the iPhone or if they will have a customized client. They really should release a Java client that plays videos directly from the site instead of having to deal with codecs playing correctly on every type of mobile device.

French government bans BlackBerrys: fears US and UK spying {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 20th 2007 9:12AM I don't think its a case where they fear "spy" will come and get them. But think about it, you have possibly confidential or sensitive information from top business and government officials, residing outside your country, controlled by foreign companies. What happens if the US government decides to ask RIM to hand over data for some court case, or decides to pull an AT&T and start screening for potential terrorist emails, without asking for France's permission?

Opera Mini 4 goes beta {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 20th 2007 8:06AM I blogged about that yesterday. I say that this is revolutionary. This is bigger than the iPhone. Why? Because the 1 billion+ cellphones out there that supports Java who have been stuck with WAP sites can now instantly have access to the full desktop web experience, without having to buy a $600 smartphone and be on Cingular.

iPhone to feature eight hours of talk, new glass surface {Engadget Mobile}

Jun 18th 2007 11:35AM Wow that is one biased chart if I ever saw one. That they managed to portrait the iPhone as better than the N95 is a feat. Let me give you a chart of my own just for fun:

Third party apps: iPhone no, N95 yes
GPS support: iPhone no, N95 yes
3G support: iPhone no, N95 yes
Removable battery: iPhone no, N95 yes
Removable memory: iPhone no, N95 yes
FM radio: iPhone no, N95 yes
Dedicated media buttons: iPhone no, N95 yes
Available unlocked: iPhone no, N95 yes
Price: iPhone $600 (with 2y contract), N95 $700 (no contract)

Shall I go on?

May 11th 2007 4:36PM It's old news indeed and the download link doesn't work on unwired's link. Here's one that does:

@Bill: As for HTML email why not just use a web based email in Opera Mini, or just the Gmail Java app.

Sony Ericsson cameraphones reign supreme at Flickr {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 27th 2006 12:13PM The N73 was released this summer, the K750i was releases over a year ago. I think the N73 is doing VERY good claiming up like that in such a small period of time.

Study: for most, all-in-one phones aren't {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 31st 2006 12:53PM It's personal preference. For me I want a convergence device.

Cingular-branded Nokia N75 in the wild {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 25th 2006 12:40PM Stop complaining about the missing features. They are missing because Cingular wanted a main stream phone. If you want top notch wait for the N95.
