The correct phrase is "for all intents and purposes."

Blu-ray God of War changes are minimal, doubles up on trophies {Joystiq}

Sep 2nd 2009 1:22PM Just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean it's cool. If they release this collection for less money than it takes to buy the two games on ps2, then all my complaints turn out to be pretty moot, right?

Sep 2nd 2009 1:03PM Yeah, I can do that, and I'm sure a lot of other people can too. But it's much easier and better for the general consumer if they can just pop the games they already own into the system they own, especially because it's tough to have room (financially and spacially (you try convincing a non gamer that you want to have all your systems hooked up at one time)) for all these systems. Maybe I'm just being a complainer, but if the strategy is to rerelease games instead of implementing a viable backwards compatability system, I think the consumer loses here.

I think my original comment was less a complaint for myself but more of a general dislike for the way things are going in this industry.

Sep 2nd 2009 12:36PM Way to go Sony! Why have backwards compatability when you can make people who want to play older games pay for them again?

Sep 4th 2008 3:09PM See that's the great thing, you can do both! Both are fun! Playing rock band inspired me to take up drumming and singing, and I don't think I would have otherwise.

PS3 keypad listed at $49.99 on Amazon.com {Joystiq}

Aug 27th 2008 2:57PM If you buy this, then you will hold a controller in your hands that you spent 100 dollars on if you bought it at MSRP. That is extremely excessive.
