Sprint's new mobile broadband routers pack WiMAX and 3G, MiFi looks on in jealousy {Engadget}

Aug 5th 2009 12:10PM thanks for enlightening me on that. wasn't questioning the business practice so much as I was wondering if people that buy these things know the type of limits they have.

Aug 5th 2009 11:53AM yeah, I really don't understand that neither. I mean, why are these carriers releasing devices that expressly enable multiple devices to suck down data if they only cap it at 5GB a month? Do the people that buy these things KNOW what they're getting themselves into beforehand, or after they see their first months bill?

Windows Marketplace launching with 600 apps, or one bazillion times what the App Catalog has {Engadget}

Jun 28th 2009 8:33PM Which is why I think that MS is in a good spot. There are TONS of third party apps for WM, and having 600 of them in one place....just to start? A week after release, I think that number will surge quite a bit. Only time will tell though.

Jun 7th 2009 10:08AM yeah, I guess your right. I wasn't sure.

Oh well, moving along.

Jun 6th 2009 5:15PM I did a little siftin around and I came across this photo on another site

http://www.intomobile.com/2009/02/25/windows-mobile-7-confirmed-for-2010-release.html

I'm not sure if that's an actual photo from the presentation they're speaking of in the article (I didn't read it all anyway) but the phone in the background looks eerily similar to what we're seeing here.

Might be the inaugural WM7 device.

One can dream.

Jun 5th 2009 10:39PM LOL,

Can we just wait for some better shots/specs before we start blasting the phone? No one knows a thing about the insides of this thing yet.

@iphonerulez: Dude, you don't get tired do you? Not everyone wants to buy the phone you think is the best. I don't like or own the iphone or the pre, but Geez it's like Palm and Mac pay you for the cockslobbin job you perform. I'd imagine they pay you enough to sit at home and troll Engadget and proclaim how great they are. lol

You say that the phone will be a "mish mash of parts only a nerd boy would love" well God Bless the manufacturers that release phones that
A) I like
b) I can use because my hands are to big for keyboards like the Pre, or an imaginary on-screen keyboard like the iphone.

Then again, I like being able to use phones and check out places like XDA-developers were I won't run into a dumb-ass non-nerd such as yourself.

(just for the record, Ya'll that like the iphone, That's what's up. I ain't bashin or iphone hatin. Real talk, I think the UI is nice and all that, but they AIN"T FOR ME. The keyboard ain't my thing, I like memory cards, and I don't use Itunes)

May 21st 2009 3:31PM who knows, we might be witnessing the beginnings of a new phone age. remember when only a few people knew how to put RAM in a PC? now your grandmother could do it.

our kids could be building their own phone/pda's when they become teenagers.

Microsoft's beta My Phone service for Windows Mobile now free to all {Engadget}

May 19th 2009 10:22AM I don't get it. Couldnt they have sent out an upgrade to Windows Live for Windows Mobile to enable this functionality? I've been using Windows Live for WM since it was released, and it does an excellent job of syncing my contacts and e-mails. I see that this saves text messages and calendar events, but woulnd't that have been a well-served upgrade for Windows Mobile?

Still, it looks/sounds like a cool app. I probably won't use it. Windows Live is good enough for me at this point.
