T-Mobile to debut 3G as voice-only. No data. We're over it. {Engadget}

Apr 30th 2008 6:13PM You guys should all calm down.
First, this was an internal memo, they are putting up 3g voice, then they will add the data, market by market.
When they are ready with a customer plan they will announce it properly, I don't think they wasted all that money for no reason.
Moreover, there are NO current devices you could use for the data anyway, so why all the hate?
Within 6 mos you will see more (Nokia) devices, an excellent data plan for both cell phones and computers.
I know it pisses people off, but their priority is to give better service (spectrum) to their customers, and then faster data speeds.
I wonder:
- will we have additional coverage in places where we didn't before?\
- will i finally be able to use my phone in the LIRR Penn Station tunnel like Verizon users?
