Sizing it up: MacBook Air vs. the rest {Engadget}

Jan 15th 2008 2:22PM @corey atad

"miraculously thin"? C'mon! Miraculously thin would have been if it was actually .16" thin like I first saw blogged on this site. I'd hardly call .76" miraculous. Yes, it's thin, but far short of a miracle.

Sprint Airave signal booster goes on sale today -- in Denver and Indy {Engadget Mobile}

Wow you PR guys are quick! So perhaps you wouldn't call it a brick, but in an age where most guys put their phones in their pockets, rather than in some kind of belt holster, .8 inches is thick in my opinion. Hell, my 619 is a little thick for me, but I'm dealing with it because my 509 is broken at the moment. All I'm saying is that these are the first two phones out of the gate, and we all know Samsung and other handset makers can and will do better. Just as I'm sure Apple will do much better with iPhone 2.0.

Cheers

Sep 17th 2007 12:03PM I'd like to see T-Mobile offer up a hybrid device, one that will pump out a tradtional signal like this as well as WiFi. That way I could still use my nice thin handsets and not have to use those enormous bricks they offer for the @Home service.

Have the people at ESPN.com have lost their minds or am I missing something here?!?!? {The Jason Calacanis Weblog}

May 29th 2007 11:41AM For what it's worth it doesn't work for me on either Comcast or BellSouth. I've no personal interest in getting it to work, but from the out of network login they have at the top right it appears to only work with Verizon or AT&T broadband. Guess AT&T hasn't brought BellSouth in to the fold with this yet...

I agree that it's a pretty stupid business model however...

Internet down? / Internet Weather Report {The Jason Calacanis Weblog}

May 17th 2007 10:42AM So, what do the numbers on that chart represent? Seems like I've been seeing a lot of charts around lately with no explanation for the data on them... not here of course, just in general.

My connection was fine here in the Southeast yesterday by the way.
