Activation of a new two year agreement on both a qualifying voice plan and data service is required. A data service is needed in order for the phone to work properly and to provide you with access to your favorite websites, e-mail, directions, and more. Once added, the data service may not be removed during your contract term but can be changed to other data services compatible with your device.

T-Mobile officially unveils $99 Even More, $79 Even More Plus plans and equipment installment option {Engadget}

Oct 25th 2009 2:19PM My thoughts...

I'm currently with T-Mobile and I've had no issues at all.

However, I would consider tied for the 3rd tier of providers with Sprint, with 1st being Verizon and 2nd being Att. These new plans were made out to be the next best thing, that would position T-mobile as the value leader.

My current plan:
2 Lines
1500 shared minutes
Both have Blackberry internet/email
Both have 400 TXT messages
Both have myFav
Both on a 1 year contract
Monthly payment $119

With the new plans:
2 Lines
1500 shared minutes
Both w/ BB internet/email
Both w/ unlimited TXT messages
2-year contract
Monthly payment $169

That is $50 difference - I gain unlimited TXT (which I don't need) and lose myFavs (which accounts for a large chunk of used minutes).

What gives?

AT&T Mobility CEO suggests iPhone exclusivity will end... sometime {Engadget}

Oct 23rd 2009 9:33PM I'm pretty sure the US will follow suite with the rest of the world in regards to the iPhone. What do I mean by that? I mean they will open it up to the other GSM carriers (i.e. T-mobile).

All we need is the 1700mhz band added and we will be golden.
