Prox Dynamics' Black Hornet nano-copter gets demoed on video {Engadget}

Apr 20th 2009 5:11PM Nice, but not something you'd REALLY get to play with.

OTOH, I've had one of these http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLH2200) for the last 6 months and it's amazing. A real helicopter, 8 inches long, with 4-channel digital radio, ready to fly ... and only $129. Flys like a dream, my 8 year old daughter was flying it in 2 minutes (and chasing the cats down the hall in 5). The Pico is a joke next to this.

We set up obstacle courses around the house and have helicopter "rallys."

Sep 25th 2008 3:03PM I want it so bad!!!

Please don't screw it up. Give it a nice lens, low noise, decent manual controls, and make it feel like my D300 when I hold it (i.e. solid).

Vogue India Fashion Spread Stirs Controversy {Luxist}

Sep 4th 2008 11:51PM it's a stretch to believe that a business which exists purely to sell luxury goods would make any "statement" that's critical of them or their purchasers.

VIDEO: How to do a U-Turn, Dubai style {Autoblog}

Aug 7th 2008 5:14PM Ferrari owners in Dubai have nothing to be concerned about from "law enforement." No cop would be stupid enough to pull over someone who might be able to make a call to a member of the royal family.

Guardium UGV robot tears it up to keep watch on trespassers {Engadget}

Aug 5th 2008 6:47PM I'm not sure that a weaponized autonomous vehicle patrolling the approach end of a runway makes me real comfortable flying into that airport.

UGV: Unidentified vehicle, you are approaching a restricted area at an excessive rate of speed, halt or I will be forced to terminate your approach.

Jun 16th 2008 4:18PM "Flashpoint," give me a freak'n break.

Any idea what pressurization does to the costs of buying and, especially maintaining, an aircraft? LSA is the antithesis of pressurization, IFR, etc.... It's all about (relatively) cheap and simple.

RIM's BlackBerry Bold / 9000 gets official {Engadget}

May 12th 2008 10:27AM That depends on your priorities ... do you want to play with gadgets or just get the job done? I like gadgets, but generally fall into the later catagory; I love my Blackberry and will be first on the list to get oneof these.
