HTC Hero having intermittent text messaging problems? {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 26th 2009 4:45PM Interestingly enough, I rebooted my phone this morning and received 6 text messages I had missed from over the last few days. I chalked it up to either Sprint craziness or an oddity in Handcent SMS (which I'm using instead of the stock messaging app due to the battery issue).
I did have a taskkiller installed at one point but took it off when I was going through the whole troubleshooting battery life problem.

Oct 9th 2009 9:18AM Sorry, meant to clarify that I'm also on a SERO plan.
Anxious Sprint users ordering HTC Hero now through telesales {Engadget Mobile}

Weird, I've spoken with 2 separate sales reps at Sprint over the last couple of weeks and both have said that I WILL be able to stay on my plan.
I guess I'll find out Sunday.
Those ordering today, you won't get your phones till next week, right? Why go that route instead of walking into a store Sunday morning and walk out with a phone that day?
HTC beats Microsoft to the punch, rolls out a different kind of 'project pink' to the Hero {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 21st 2009 9:46AM Hopefully Sprint will bring the pink as an option in October. My wife is planning on joining me in my HTC Hero adventures and she currently owns the pink Centro. This seems like a natural evolution for her. I think I'll go with the white (despite the ipod white phase issue noted above) as I'm interested in the teflon coating.
Bring on October already!
HTC Hero earns FCC approval with CDMA, Sprint launch rumors more solid than ever {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 20th 2009 1:20PM My Mogul is approaching end of life (battery lasts about 3 hours if I don't use it, about an hour if I make a phone call). Needless to say, the Hero can't come fast enough.
Viako's Ion-equipped HTPC is more like an HD-capable nettop {Engadget}
Aug 12th 2009 8:04AM All of my music is on (and most of my movies have been ripped to) my home server. I don't want to have to transfer stuff to another machine so 320GB doesn't bother me so much. As long as this thing can stream from my home server and isn't too terribly expensive, I may give it a go.
SMS vulnerability on iPhone to be revealed today, still isn't patched {Engadget}
Jul 30th 2009 12:46PM What's to stop AT&T from intercepting the SMS messages is this (Quoted from Mashable):
“We present techniques which allow a researcher to inject SMS messages into iPhone, AndroidAndroid, and Windows Mobile devices. This method does not use the carrier and so is free (and invisible to the carrier).“
Check the last sentence.

Global Economy solution? That starts in each one of us. I have a long rant about it but this is not the place.
HTC Hero review {Engadget}
Jul 23rd 2009 4:21PM I read in the comments of the Gizmodo review that using a Class 6 SDHC card improves some of the lagginess. Something to do with the Hero using the SD card for the swap file.

I'd love to hear some feedback on this from the Engadget folks.
You should probably play this Galactrix demo {Joystiq Nintendo}
Jan 20th 2009 5:34PM Guess I should refresh the page to see if anybody else answered a question before I stick my nose in. Oops. Anyway, there's the same answer explained 2 different ways.
