Qik for iPhone 3GS now available, still not capable of live 3G streaming {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 14th 2009 9:29AM and people stand in line for an Apple iPhone on AT&T's network...why? I sadly have to admit that I really do want an iPhone, but I'm not willing to leave Verizon for it. But even still, if it ever did come to Verizon (on LTE...please?) I'm not sure the device would ever be worth it.

Apple is just a pain in the...well...you get the point.

Verizon announces AD3700 global modem from ZTE {Engadget}

Aug 13th 2009 2:40PM Hasn't this topic been beaten to death? Doesn't AT&T impose a similar cap? I know sprint used to...but they are hurting for customers and I think their data is a bright spot, so they might not...anyway...

The limit of that cap is exactly the reason you can bet most average users don't come near that. Companies set the cap to prevent the outliers from sucking up all the bandwidth. If that was an average usage for people, then 5GB would be rediculous. But considering that most customers are simple mobile users, not downloading their backed up collection of dvd's to their mobile, I would wager that most people don't even know there is a cap.

Only hard-core users looking to move big data would notice. And I'm sure that's the minority. And that's who they aim to shut down.
