Feb 24th 2009 12:43AM Tim, what do you think you would want to do on a netbook with more than a gig of RAM? I do 90% of my home computing on a machine with half a gig. I only go to my desktop workstation for photo editing or gaming. 1 gig should be more than enough for a netbook. If it's not, you bought the wrong computer.

May 30th 2008 8:02PM A lot more than a year ago. This size of machine has been known as "subnotebook" for many years. I've had one for four years (Fujitsu P5020D) and that was by no means the first.
These are just low power subnotebooks. But they're also light, so "ultralight" sounds okay to me.
Or we could just call them weebles.
