TomTom speaks up about iPhone situation {Engadget}
Jun 13th 2008 10:51PM I've been using TomTom US/Canada maps on my HTC Artemis (P3300) for last 2 years. The problem I see with IPhone 2 is that it is aGPS. Thus, the big question is if apple has allowed standard modeon the aGPS chip meaning that you can use it to connect directly to Satillites and not Cell phone towers (thus cheaper you pay nothing)..but most phones with aGPS do not allow standard mode...thus you are always using cell towers and satellite (thus paying for cell tower usage).
My HTC aretmis (unlocked) is great it is GPS (Sirf chip) not aGPS.
CE-Oh no he didn't! Part XXIX - Apple sez free phones are worthless {Engadget}
Mar 1st 2007 9:14PM Bring back the mid 80s early 90s of Apple's Yuppie years. Yes the days when poor students like myself looking to buy and Mac to replace my first computer (Apple II) could not afford one, because it was priced and marketed to the rich Yuppie crowd. So I bought my first PC and it has been a great love story.
I sense deja vu for apple. Things are always cycle in life.
Bluetooth, WiFi and FM on a single chip -- oh my {Engadget Mobile}
Feb 8th 2007 3:28PM Isn't this what the HTC Artemis is already using, part of the reason why the use the low voltage and low powered TI OMAP chip as well.
