Your iPod Makes You A Bad Driver {The Digital Music Weblog}
Jun 15th 2006 6:39PM How about making the process of getting a drivers licence harder, make it illegal for permit drivers to use them and make penalties harder. For example, permit driver gets caught on the phone while driving... permit gone for 6 month or a year!
Accident caused due to cell phone or other distractions, 6 months to a year. DUI? Sorry you lose your licence. Most people out there just don't understand what they are driving around and what kind of damage (death) they can cause.
The whole idea that "Driving is my right" is such BS... no one has the RIGHT to drive.
I hate laws like this, don't try to solve a problem by making cellphones and ipods...etc illegal in a car. Solve the problem at the root cause, Drivers with no driving eduaction or knowledge of what they are actually doing by driving a 1-2ton car!
Sorry, end rant. :)

Cellphones could disrupt airplane systems: study {Engadget Mobile}
Mar 1st 2006 10:04AM Part of the testing would require a Cell repeater installed into the airplane. This will cause your Cell phone to operate at the lowest RF power because it thinks your sitting on a tower (which you will be lol).
The repeater will downlink its signal on a different frequency, possibly the same system that Boeing uses for its High Speed internet using WiFi which is already being used every day by thousands of users (including myself, ANA airlines NYC to Japan direct)
NASCAR moves to control bump-drafting {Autoblog}
Feb 15th 2006 5:02PM Tony is one of my favorite drivers, but really. This is racing!
They should open up the restrictor plates and give some more power to pass. Can you imagine how boring Restrictor plate racing will get if they outlaw bump drafting? 500 miles of single file racing.
At least they are only restricting it to the corners.
NASCAR needs to let drivers "fight it out" get spun out? you better watch out! :)
BRING IT ON! lol

Jan 27th 2006 10:29AM You have go to be kidding me. Lawyers are such scum.
WHY would you treat your fan base like this??
I just sent VW and e-mail, not that I expect them to read it.
Im a huge VW fan but VWoA needs to understand their fan base is the only thing keeping them alive. Their dealers are horrible, service is horrible...etc but for some reason we keep buying.
I ALMOST got a Tourage but decided to get a GMC.
Two reasons, VERY poor dealer / service experience in the past at any VW dealer and very high service costs. I work on my own cars so service is "not" as much of a deal but damn, I feel bad for someone that has to use a Stealership.
