Quickoffice for iPhone impressions {Engadget Mobile}
Jun 13th 2009 8:45PM Wait, am I reading this correctly? You can't open email attachments with this? Why would you want or need this program if not for email attachments? What other reason would somebody need Office files on a mobile device? Are people really going to be typing up a term paper or creating work reports or presentations on their iPhone? In all of my years with Windows Mobile, Palm, Android, or Blackberry I have never created a document. Only viewed through email attachments. The only other thing I've ever done is beam (yes you read that right, I said beam) my work schedule in xls format to a pocket PC.
Somebody please either correct my confusion or if I am correct please explain the benefit of having this program.
Rumored BlackBerry Javelin specs: WiFi, GPS, awesome display {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 15th 2008 12:04AM Randy G- If you want a screen the size of the iPhone the only practical option is to eliminate the keyboard. For most Blackberry owners, not having a physical keypad is not an option. I have an iPhone and for me it is strictly an iPod touch with EDGE access, a speaker, and a better battery. I have probably made 2 calls on it ever. There is one reason It is not my primary phone: no keyboard. Typing SMS or email on it literally makes me angry.
Sprint loses fewer customers in Q2 than expected, but just barely {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 7th 2008 4:22AM Oh yeah um i forgot: woot first comment. I read in the technoblog commentors manual that you are supposed to get excited that you just happened to read an article first and comment on it or something. I gotta say it does feel a little life-changing. My next feat will be to ramble on for what would normally be 3 paragraphs but use no punctuation and all caps. I'm learning.
Sprint loses fewer customers in Q2 than expected, but just barely {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 7th 2008 4:12AM I'm sorry I can't let this go......... Is that a rendering of Palm OS on a Motorola RAZR, a Cingular keypad (notice the "send" icon), and a craptacular photoshopped Sprint logo? Could we not find any stock images that could be used, or is this just a crafty inside joke?
Deutsche Telekom looking to pick up Sprint? {Engadget Mobile}
May 3rd 2008 7:20PM People seem to be confused as to the difference between Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile USA. Deutsche Telekom is the one rumored to be making this aquisition. T-Mobile is simply one of many many worldwide subsidiaries owned by Deutsche Telekom. Even if this did happen, which is of course still a very infantile internet rumor, there is nothing saying Sprint and T-Mobile USA would merge operations, networks, customers, etc. Is it not possible that Sprint and T-Mobile could remain seperate companies that just happen to be owned by the same daddy?
Cheapo refurbished iPhones for sale online from AT&T {Engadget Mobile}
Mar 18th 2008 11:37PM I just ordered one. Now I can return my iPod touch 8gb to Costco, get the same features, bigger battery, and save $50. Even if you have no plans to sign up for AT&T service just use it as an iPod.
Get your yummy Halo 3 theme at a kiosk near you {Joystiq Xbox}
Nov 23rd 2007 6:44PM I could swear this is the same theme I have on my 360 right now. I believe it came with the Legendary Edition on the bonus discs. Though, that is kinda crap since it is supposed to be "exclusive" content.
