Sep 7th 2007 3:21AM I think I am among the majority of people who have experience with MOXI when I say that the only thing that makes my MOXI box from Charter tolerable is the price when compared to Tivo Series 3. I don't know why it's been an insurmountable task for the competition to emulate the basic functionality of Tivo from 8 years ago, but it has. Why? Why oh frickin' why? Maybe because the customer is generally a cable company that has a de facto local monopoly.

Feb 8th 2006 5:51PM Unless they're planning to deploy a constellation in low earth orbit, the service will suck because of the inherent latency. Geostationary orbit is at 22000 miles, so a ping would have to travel that distance four times, giving a latency of ~500 ms minimum.
